Last Kiss by Pearl Jam
A sad song feels even sadder, when the voice seems to be neutral. Empathy of sadness seems to be more amplified when the vocal completely digest sorrow of emotion paced with the reflection of tiny agitation of lyrics. When I first heard this song, Last Kiss, I felt sadness even though I didn't understand English well. I love both versions of original and rocker's. Sadness of Lyrics were sublimed by vocal's rhythm and blues. I prefer a song that is sung calmly like conversation rather than a song that expresses emotions deeply. Sometimes controlled sadness makes people moved effectively.
