Only five more days to participate in the Creators Origami Christmas Book.

To obtain your own copy please submit your new and unpublished folding instructions in your preferred format to origamichristmasbook AT gmail DOT com

These will be locked and only available to other designer's for five years after which they will become public.

Submissions will close in five days time on the 15th of December with the book to be sent out on the 20th of December.

Currently I have 14 designs submitted from easy to intermediate. The designs cover a wide range from wreaths, animals, logos to toys.

I will be submitting a further five designs including a traditional frog variation which looks like a cricket, a stackable box, a modular flower, a lily like flower (made from the clapping finger puppet) and the angel in the photo of my latest competition.

I have also been warned to expect more than half of my submissions in the last two days.

If you do choose to submit more than one design you can gain access to the previous four years editions. One design for each desired book.

Previous years ebooks from 2006 to 2012 can be found here:

https://snkhan.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14474#pChristmas%20Origami%20Book%202017

They range in size from around 147 pages to a whopping 339 pages.

Happy folding, Grace

Thank you.

Wish you continued success @gmatthe2 😉 never seen anyone who really persistent on folding the paper like you, 👐 you're so cool!

Thank you, @cicisaja that is very kind.

That's an interesting idea, sharing of designs, feel a bit sad that I'm not much of a designer. Maybe I should make crease patterns of my tessellations, shouldnt be too difficult.

I folded for well over ten years before my mind and fingers started finding new designs. You have already created your own tesselations and three of your own modular designs. Crease patterns are more than welcome. Oripa is free to download and is pretty user friendly.

I'm not a folder myself! But I love your work. Going to resteem this so it gets more attention :)

Hi,

Is there any way that I might help you promote this? Or, contribute to any incentives or rewards?

Hi @freedomshift, I have placed the notice on Facebook and the origami forum and here on steemit and whaleshares . I have received 47 models from 24 different artists. Including a truely awe inspiring dinosaur which will be the first diagram the person has made. I would love a resteem, however additional incentives and rewards are not needed at this moment.

Oh very nice @gmatthe2. I love how origami turns a simple piece of paper into something unimaginable.
