With new ambitions, resolutions, and a fresh year ahead, I thought it was right to move my room around, and despite my basic work area setup, it was time to reorganize it and make it cleaner to boost my productivity. My room is small, often crammed but just before the new year i offloaded some no longer needed items, moved furniture and planned for future purchases to get the most out of my room. Living with family i have my pc workstation in my bedroom, it isn't too bad at least not anymore with changes.
I know, pretty basic right? but for now it is good enough for me. Idealy i would have an actual desk, better cable managment and a second monitor but i will keep dreaming, saving and working towards that one day. For now this is where my creativity is produced. The steering wheel can be in the way but it is such a nuisance to keep unplugging and taking off i have just decided to keep it on as i do tend to use it often in my down time. It slides right over making space for my mouse and keyboard as you can see in the photo. You can also see in the photo lots of notebooks, pens and even a kindle. I need to get in the habit of writing down ideas, passwords and things to do as i never do that and one of my goals this year is to stop the doom scrolling and be more productive with my down time when im not gaming. I also have a big 2 litre water bottle that will rest on my desk as i have realised i don't drink enough water in the day and with some vitamins im taking it is very important i stay hydrated and as long as drink till empty im on the right track. Some things out of site and resting on the temporary drawers set off camera to the left are my various spare cables and my Meta Quest 2 as i play a ton of VRChat and it is my escape from the real world.
Going back to the Kindle i keep it here as then i always know where it is but i mostly make use of this device when laying in bed i find that i fall asleep much quicker after reading a couple chapters on this device, maybe one day i will upgrade to a better device as this is Amazons lowend kindle device.
I wont bore you with a room tour because, well it is just a basic room with a bed and that is about it. It is nice to do a little setup refresh each year i am still in shock that this community and the value of the Hive token funded my pc upgrade a few years ago. A reason why i choose to stay the value of hive doesn't matter to much to me the community here has and will always be amazing and the main reason for being here and as i enter this new year my resolutions somewhat link into Hive and my goal of always learning, socialising and being a better person.

It can be good to revise the setup now and then. My study is pretty crowded with two desks and a load of music kit. I need to rationalise it a bit. I don't want to have to keep moving things around.
I do plan to buy more with $HIVE, but I want the price to go up a bit first. We need to work on making that happen.

I too find it a pain in the but to move my wheel when not using it, it's why it's been sat under my desk for years never getting used. I have the logitek G27 myself. Might have to try get back into playing euro truck sim 2 some more.

Yh can be annoying i think getting a second monitor would help more too. if you get back into euro truck or other driving/racing games i will happily hop on likewise for vrchat too :)
