PORTFOLIO

This week I submitted my first real school assignment that actually matters, my images for the first showcase, which is to show if I have learned what the first course was about. In theory for this photography school, we don't actually have to attend any lessons during two years, we could just do the required showcases to display our knowledge of that area of photography and get the papers out saying you know your shit.

The first course was about the basics of photography, understanding shutter speed, aperture and ISO, and how to use them for the results you want. We were also learning some basics of using speed light. For the showcase we were instructed to send about 10 good different types of images, showing variety of skills. It was also recommended to send in images that show your own artistic view or style so we could get feedback on those too.

I'm pretty happy with the images I chose and I think I have shown pretty well the different styles of photographs I can produce. I wanted to put in quite a lot of my black and white photos because those I like the most myself and I think they have the greatest impact and can stand the test of time.

I'd be interested to know what you think of my portfolio at this point. I get my official feedback from the teachers and working photographers (who I don't know yet) in a little over a week and would be interesting to compare yours, mine and their opinions. My own opinion obviously being that I'm the greatest and can do no wrong.

Sort:

I love them <3 My favorites are the bedroom and the mom and baby. The bedroom one looks so professional, flawless. The mom with the baby looks so emotional, I love it. Awesome shots as always.

Thanks babes!

I was delighted with the first five photographs, and more the photograph that you took of the great Hyundai i20 in full swing, excellent, spectacular, applause for you !!

Someone is a rally fan ;) Thank you!

I like how you isolated the child and bubbles with a shallow DOF. Nice use of shadows in the black and white images and the portraits give a good idea to the subjects character. You get 92% from me.

Your opinion is the only one that matters ;)

I know nothing about photography, but I must say the work you present us here is truly remarkable. The four first photos look flawless to me. On the other hand, for the other ones, we can spot traces of (heavy) editing that almost ruin the experience: your hair on the phot of your back look a bit strange, and the mafia guy holding this drink looks out of place (I feel like he is been photoshopped into this library). Again, I'm no expert. Keep up the good work as they say.

Interesting since I don’t actually photoshop much other than raw edit and spot correction. Though I’m sure I have taken away some fly-aways around my head so I think that might make the hair look fake or something. About the mafia guy, that’s funny since the books behing him are actually fake, can’t apparently have nice books in a bar 😂

First time I get fooled by books. The photo is good nonetheless. The smoke behind the rally car amazes me every time.

Technique: 4/10 (May be it is because of your or my screen but i think you have lost a lot values in post process while trying to make them artistic)
Composition: 4/10 (The frames where you cut the contents are not beautiful)
Content: 4/10 (The topics you selected don't tell and sense much to me)
Uniqueness: 4/10 (I think I've seen thousands of these amateur photos before. You integrated and copied other images into your own life)
Creatvitity: 2/10 (You must think more abstract. Art isn't just technique or high contrast.)
Clarity of Expression: 4/10 (There can be more powerful sensations in the content that you choose)
Classification: 3/10 (I can't decide what kind of photography class that you want to go)

LOL😊

You can't fool me. You just played with your puzzles today and post this to get some hive.

I know you have better pieces. And I believe you can make a better classification.

As I told, I don't take this post "Portfolio" serious. I think you are better and more professional than this post.

Get us better art. Please don't try fool us next time. =P
