Happy New Years Eve Eve everyone!!
I am stunned and amazed that Christmas has passed and we are now preparing for New Years.
In my house, Christmas is a big event and when it's over, it's a bit anti-climatic. In addition, we really don't have any 'traditions' for New Years. That's simply because we are so unorganized, I think. So, we really like simple and easy when it comes to any parties we host this holiday.
This is when a cheese board fills in perfectly for being one of the easiest, but very classy and versatile, plus it is a great way to feed a group.
As you can see by my photos, I've combined cheese, nuts, fruit, sauces, meats and crackers. This is a great way to keep your guests busy with finger food while they are socializing. And, I think it just turns out beautiful.
I hope you enjoyed this post and it has given you some inspiration. I have some great ideas coming up for the new year, so stay tuned, it's going to be HUGE!

Tell us the recipe (I know we can look and see) I always want to be the one that asks. My brother-in-law is a chef and when he brings out the board with the appetizers I love it. :)

Oh my God, YEESSS!! Hehehe I'm from Quebec and cheese platter is THE thang! Yours looks very good!! Pears are my go to on cheese platter, such a perfect match. The only thing missing there is a soft cheese, like a brie or camembert. Bon appétit!

I am Venezuelan, in my house in particular we have tradition, the next day of the new year to reunite the whole family and prepare a delicious "cruzao" beef and chicken stew to recharge. Surprisingly simple, yet appealing food that just makes you want to try everything on the plate. Also, nice saying for it as "fingers foods" which indeed keeps you digging in it. For sure will try it on a future party and see how successful it is.

It's great how the simplest ingredients come together to make for a satisfying snack. Give me a cheese patter any day and often I'll be full before we even hit mains!
