Kindness transcends borders, boundaries and cultures....even the spoken word.
EVERYONE regardless of their background, religious faith or creed appreciates it, recognises it and values it.
And kindness can even break the barriers between species.
Yes, I know anthropomorphism is a big no no to most zoologists and biologists but every day we see with our own eyes examples of animals saving other animals, or nurturing the young of another species. There are countless videos online of cats being saved by dogs, puppies being rescued by cats, monkeys cradling cats, lions saving baby gazelles. Yes the documented evidence would seem to be contradictory to what science tells us. And it's not like that's never happened before, is it?
So, dear Steemians, let's meet Ingo and Napoleon. They are cared for by photographer Tanja Brandt who makes the most of every opportunity to capture the adorable pair of best buddies.
This is Napoleon, a tiny Owlet who very nearly didn't make it onto planet earth at all. His little egg, from a clutch of 8, failed to hatch and the captive breeder was about to discard the egg believing it to be infertile. That's when Napoleon managed to crack his shell just in the nick of time.
Here he is with his canine friend and protector Ingo. Ingo is a Malinois, a type of Belgian Shepherd dog, often trained and used by the police.
There is a huge amount of trust and understanding between this unlikely duo which is evident from the way they interact.
Ingo has a friendly relationship with more than just Napoleon. Since photographer Brandt cares for many other species of owls and birds of prey he has developed an understanding and respect for them all, as seen pictured here with a Snowy Owl as the sun goes down.

True tolerance transcends all boundaries, allowing us, and other species, to develop surprising and often deeply rewarding relationships which are based on the foundations of love, respect, trust and kindness.

Hello @lilygolightly, love the idea of Kindness Code. Please reread #0198. The robots have done a number on me, but I'm not too worried. The info source is the public, so no plagiarism, feel free to copy-paste/print for ease of study or giving away. The loose leaf my gran had left me, @cheetah found a reference for, and I researched that reference. It is possibly almost plagiarism as the one who posted on www. implies he wrote and collated it. But the Victorian encyclopaedia he posted was an earlier version of those excerts I posted. They are collected from the public (like posts on steemit) collated to an index, then published for empire, from the people to the people, for common knowledge usage of the people, (publisher defunct since before WW2) so, robots do not think, 'they just run programs', as quoted from movie #5 is alive, is still true today.
