The Kite

The boy stood there,
All alone in the midst,
Gazing upon the sunset,
A prelude of the dusk,
Silhouette of birds flew home,
Across the sky,
The glowing tangerine sky,

And soon the calmly sound of the gentle wind caressed his hair,
He was fluttered with excitement.
Then he launched the kite straight;
Off the ground.
And gradually,
It started taking heights,
Battling with the breeze.

By some time.
The flat kite flew,
High above,
In the cotton candy clouds,
And the fiery golden orb of the light slowly sank,
Beneath the horizon.

You aptly capture the exhilaration of kite flying in your poem.

NOTE: I think you erred with “fluttered” and meant “flustered” instead. Flags flutter, people get flustered.

Thanks!

@momzillanc

for pointing it out. But, I don't think it's a mistake. It seems quiet confusing So, I look for the dictionary.

It’s your poetic voice. But, applying “fluttered” to a person’s behavior isn’t in the common vernacular. That might be why it is confusing.
