6 października w wieku 65 lat zmarł Eddie Van Halen, był jednym z założycieli grupy która odniosła wielki światowy sukces. Grupa Van Halen powstała w 1971 roku, po 7 latach w 1978 roku wydali swój debiutancki album który osiągnął wielki sukces, pokrywając się złotem i platyną a w roku 1996 otrzymał status diamentowej płyty.
Grupa ma na swoim koncie wiele nagród i wyróżnień, do najbardziej znanych utworów można zaliczyć: Jump, Runnin' With The Devil, Panama, Eruption czy Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love.
