Pod koniec zeszłego tygodnia postanowiłem porwać się pierwszy raz na dłuższą trasę na moim singlespeedzie.
Plan zakładał przejechanie minimum 100 km.
Długo zastanawiałem się którędy jechać, z jednej strony chciałem "dorysować" trochę więcej na mapce mojego powiatu w Wandrerze, z drugiej pojechać gdzieś gdzie mnie nigdy nie było, lub nie było mnie dawno, gdzieś bliżej natury, lasu, spokoju.
Jak już się domyślacie wygrała opcja numer dwa.
At the end of last week I decided to go a longer route on my singlespeed for the first time.
The plan was to ride a minimum of 100 km.
I thought for a long time which way to go, on the one hand I wanted to develop a little more on the map of my district in my Wandrer profile, on the other hand to go somewhere where I have never been, or have not been for a long time, somewhere closer to nature, forest, peace and quiet.
As you can already guess, option number two won.
Przed Lubartowem skręciłem na Serniki, potem przez Brzostówkę, Ostrów Lubelski, Białkę, Uhnin, Sosnowicę, Ludwin i Kijany.
Po drodze mijałem dużo jezior Pojezierza Łęczyńsko-Włodawskiego: Miejskie w Ostrowie Lubelskim, Gumieniek, Ściegienne, Bialskie, Białe (Sosnowieckie), Tomaszne, Zagłębocze, Łukcze, Rogóźno, Dratów i kilka innych.
Zatrzymałem się tylko na chwilę nad Miejskim, pozostałe tylko mijałem bo zapewne nie wystarczyłoby dnia na zobaczenie ich wszystkich.
Before Lubartów I turned to Serniki, then through Brzostówka, Ostrów Lubelski, Białka, Uhnin, Sosnowica, Ludwin and Kijany (Poland, Lublin Voivodeship).
Along the way I passed many lakes of the Łeczna-Włodawa Lake District: Miejskie in Ostrów Lubelski, Gumieniek, Ściegienne, Bialskie, Białe (Sosnowica), Tomaszne, Zagłębocze, Łukcze, Rogóźno, Dratów and several others.
I stopped only for a moment at Miejskie, the others I only passed because there probably wouldn't be enough time to see them all.
Jak się jechało? Pierwsze około 50 km super.
Pogoda była świetna: słońce, trochę chmur na niebie, ciepło ale nie upalnie.
W Sosnowicy zrobiłem sobie dłuższy postój. I zrobiłem błąd. Usiadłem na ławce pod sklepem.
Nie wiem czy też tak macie podczas jakiegoś wysiłku na długim dystansie, że przyjęcie pozycji siedzącej oznacza początek problemów. Tak jakby nogi wysyłały sygnał do mózgu "to już koniec, nie jedziemy dalej".
No więc pozostałe kilometry były dzięki temu "ciekawe". Co kilka-kilkanaście kilometrów postój na odpoczynek i rozciąganie.
I w tym kontekście wyszła duża wada roweru typu singlespeed. Maszyna z przerzutkami pozwala odciążyć nogi na niższych przełożeniach, tutaj tego nie ma.
How was the ride? The first 50 km or so were great.
The weather was great: sunshine, some clouds in the sky, warm but not hot.
In Sosnowica I made a longer stop. And I made a mistake. I sat down on a bench.
I don't know if you also have this during some long-distance effort, that taking a sitting position means the beginning of problems. It's as if the legs send a signal to the brain "it's over, we're not going any further".
Well, so the remaining kilometers were "interesting" thanks to this. Every few kilometers or so I stopped to rest and stretch.
And in this context, the big drawback of the singlespeed bike came out. A machine with derailleurs allows you to relieve the burden on your legs at lower gear ratios, here there is no such thing.
Wyszło około 106 kilometrów. Około, bo Strava momentami odmawiała współpracy i nie wyrysowała mi części śladu pod Wandrer.
Szkoda, ale mówi się trudno.
W każdym razie cel osiągnięty.
It came out to about 106 kilometers. About, because Strava refused to cooperate at times and didn't plot my part of the trail inside Wandrer.
It's a shame, but one says hard.
In any case, the goal was achieved.
