To Solve a Problem With a Question

When you were in school, you learned in order to solve a problem, you need to ask the right question

But in society, the media/politicians have us focused on right or left and issues that are secondary to the bigger issues. Better questions would be:

  • "Now that we have the technology and resources to provide an amazing quality of life for everyone on the planet, what is the best way to move forward?"

  • "How long should we keep the money system now that is only hinders our progress?"

  • "With so many jobs being replaced with technology, should we start scaling back the workweek while increasing quality of life?"

We Are In A New Era

I've said this before. Take a look back through history... There was a time thousands of years ago that just building a dwelling was an amazing feat. Almost 50 years ago, humanity landed on the moon – an accomplishment our ancestors would have believed impossible.

The idea of flight was dreamed of way before the Wright Brothers figured it out in 1903. Quite naturally, curious people would look at the one thing it knows that can fly (birds) and in response ask, "How fast would a flying machine need to flap its wings in order to lift a person?" Many attempted it, but they all failed - because they were asking the wrong question.

Society has struggled for quite some time now... No one can seem to get really get civilization to fly. Eventually, I realized that everything our politicians "promised" us they would take care of and get working was a sloppy repair job at best. But it isn't their fault. It isn't the big bad banks or corporations fault either. We are simply asking the wrong questions.

I started searching for the questions almost 20 years ago, and to be honest, I don't have them all just yet. I was always waiting to write about this topic until I finished my research. But something in me knows it needs to be written now so screw my perfectionism. This is an incomplete work. I need your help to finish it. I need you to help me find the questions so we can start getting results.

Think of this as a starting place. I'll share the pieces of the puzzle I've figured out, then please join me online so we can figure out how to create a world we all want to live in.

P.S. Remember - We always must protect the internet no matter what. The internet is true democracy and part of the blueprint to our worlds first true democratic civilization - meaning everyone has an equal voice (in case you forgot that democracy isn't supposed to mean rich people get to buy social policy (because honestly, I've been so desensitized to rampant corruption that I could totally understand)).

It is really easy to go in circles while talking about this topic.
Why don't we have 20-hour work weeks already, despite all the technological advancement? My take on it would be:

  • One, government inefficiency. Creating jobs for the sake of having jobs. Making new taxes to pay the people who invent new taxes. Implementing stupid restrictions, punishing people for innovations (like banning Uber).
  • Monopolies going hand in hand with governments, taking the majority of the pie for themselves under the pretense of playing the saviors of humanity...
  • People are not unhappy with the situation, or not unhappy enough. We all support the current systems by our participation in them. That way, the fat income of the oligarchs will never be cut off...

By all means, check out the post I wrote just earlier today. It might help you come up with some new questions.
