Rant: I'm so fucking sick of Facebook, time is limited and things are frustrating [short post]

in #rant7 years ago (edited)

Why do people invest, and in turn spend so much time on Facebook?

T I M E

we have so little of it.
we waste so much of it.

I AM FRUSTRATED

FRUSTRATION IS A WASTE OF TIME

TIME IS LIMITED.

Sometimes I feel like everything matters and nothing matters simultaneously...how is that even possible?

Sorry guys, I'm tired, frustrated as fuck, dealing with a lot of shit from a million angles both literal and metaphorical, having a hard time putting it all into words and needed to vent. If you read this, thank you.

WE ARE ALL WARRIORS. WE ARE THE CHANGE.

i have to keep believing this. otherwise it all starts to feel so pointless.

i so agree with this. great post. I am putting together a steemit artist collective album I would love to get a song from you. I love your material https://steemit.com/music/@soundlegion/sound-legion-presents-steemit-artist-music-compilation-v-1-submit-your-original-song you would be a great add

Time is the most valuable thing we have; and not enough people appreciate this. It is literally the only thing that as humans, we cannot obtain more of, and it should be spent adding as much meaning as you can.

Why do you think some people have such a hard time with realizing this value? Or do you think some people just do not value time at all? As with all currencies, the value lies within the trust people put into it and buying the concept that it's even real...

I think it is because people refuse to acknowledge their own mortality. To me, spending a night looking at the universe and its stars from a humble perch on planet earth is infinitely more enjoyable then checking out who is drunk or wearing controversial clothing.

Because it's easy. Path of least resistance. I spent tonnes of time on Reddit, even though I new nothing positive came from it, because it was great at blotting life out

Good rant.

Thanks. It was cathartic. Lol

Put your energy here posting dear @jessamynorchard. If you want to talk, I'm here. Hugs, kisses and God bless you.

That is precisely what I plan to do. Thinking for one second that I'm going to interact with generally genuine people there is naive and frankly idiotic of me to do. I'm smarter than that. I just don't know why it always calls me back.

Necessary for post promotion and music stuff but sharing my thoughts with an audience who doesn't get it isn't worth it.

People have said to me, "These people just don't know you in real life," and I've used you @jsantana as an example of a real friend I have who gets me and has never met me in real life...however we have shared our lives with each other in a much more impactful way even than Facebook allows people to interact. Thankful for you. <3

I must say, I do have a few friends on faceplant that I enjoy interacting with. I also keep in contact with distant family members that way. However, that doesn't take very long these days. I check the groups that I'm part of and I check the pages that I follow to see what's going on there, and then I'm done with it. I spend a lot less time there than I used to.
