Just don't forget the anchor...

Today was a great windy day to test the theory too! Lash and nail it down, then Pray for the best!

chag sameach!

Thanks, and also for you and the family! Staying warm in the sukkah this year?!

Did NOT enjoy the second day at all. My kids ran away from the other home (drama) and came to me. Second day it was cold and rainy too. Assur to stay in the sukkah in such conditions. Also Assur to not be happy.. but what the hell, I'm human (no off switch)

Instead of going to friend's, I'm glad they came to you, and sounds like they did together... I hope they feel better now and can have a bit of simcha with you...

And it wouldn't be simcha if it was on all the time!

no she isn't keeping the chag. No succah. They went to a friends because it was dark and they came to me after. I had to return them until I change things in the "court". Ahhh life is tough sometimes my friend.

I realize now that I should not have asked about her in a public place, so I edited out that part of my comment.

It sounds like the derech is desirable to your kids, B"H. I hope it will soon be clear of major stumbling blocks. B"H you have a strong lantern to light the way...

Shabbat shalom, and in your home :)

A charming story, my friend...

I must tell you of two thoughts that crossed my mind...

First, I was wondering if the Rabbi noticed the apparent parallel references to 40 years of marriage and 40 years of wandering in the wilderness? :O

Also, I could not help but recall this very parallel story that another rabbi once told:

“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”
Matthew 7:24-27

@creatr

all houses or succahs should remind us that the false gog is only an artificial creation.

Greetings, @bearbear613,

Thank you for responding to my comment. However, I'm unable to interact with you knowledgeably.

Could you please expound on your reference to "the false gog" and perhaps explain what you think it is and how it is an artificial creation?

Thanks in advance.

the holiday is about removing the veil of human power, rather it is by the bread of G-ds word that we eat. In the end of days there is only one holiday the nations of the world inherit. That is the mitzvah of succah.

Thanks for the additional information.

I'll try to do some more reading on the topic of succah.
