Road to Steemfest3 (9): The Shout-outs Post
The ninth installment in my #roadtosteemfest series, the brain-child of @anomadsoul as he encourages attendees, and those trying their hardest to get there, to write about their journey along the way.

It's not often you get a free play on tagging as many account names as you can think of, and with @ginabot back in play, let's see what's she's made of over a @buildteam HQ.
You know, last year I went to Portugal for Steemfest 2 as a Minnow and have almost earned 10000 SP in the past 12 months, woop! I want to thank some people, I'd love to meet in person, for being a huge help in the growth of my account over the past 12 months. @v4vapid, @acidyo, and of course, the @fulltimegeek.

Oh, I'm supposed to write a little bit about each person. OK, OK...........
@anomadsoul, estimated to have only 2.8 showers at the event, and someone I met but didn't think smelt badly at all last year - see you in less than a month buddy. @blocktrades, for whom I'm bringing a packet of Oreos in exchange for a 100k SP delegation - when the chips are down, eat them?
@exyle and @bkdbkd, who I also met last year, and again during the world cup when they visited Majorca this summer and kindly bought me lunch. A re-match at pool, 10 beers deep could be on the cards, I hope you've been practicing mate :D And the same goes for you @misslasvegas :P
@teamsteem will be there this year I hear! One of Steem's big ambassadors, currently using Steem Power (and likely other coins too), to do some global sightseeing. A pleasure it will be, and the same for @karensuestudios and @acromott, two more peeps I met last year who were very friendly.
@llfarms, @curie curator, @c-squared curator, @steemcommunity witness partner, and all round good egg has not only funded her trip, but also gave away an extra ticket in a recent contest. I will be sitting in the front row for her presentation on Curation, and poking her for information on how to receive my ellusive @curie up-vote :P
You know when you start talking to someone at the bar, and two hours (and 3 beers) later, the conversation is still flowing - that would be last year with @getonthetrain. This shrewdy knows how to collect STEEM, and has no plans to exit anytime soon. Hopefully see you there!
@jeffjagoe, another Steemian I met last year. I remember he lost his phone but didn't seem too upset about it! See you again, with deeper pockets this time I hope :)

@elear, creator of @utopian-io, attended last year but we missed saying hello. Over the past twelve months, @utopian-io has supported me no end, both through my contributions, and Contribution Manager status. I have a big thank you waiting for you Diego.
This next lady has all but promised (meaning, she hasn't promised at all), to knit me a pair of thick socks to help in the cold of Poland. Socks or no socks, I'm looking forward to saying hello to @eveuncovered, who has gone full blockchain reliant for about a year now. Well done!
@soyrosa and @coruscate are two more ladies that will be in attendance. Watching the world go by in a coffee shop sounds like a good way to spend an hour or two, as well as listening carefully to @coruscate who will hopefully tell me how to get a vote from @kpine :D
@tarazkp, another new attendee, and one of the most prolific producers of interesting content on Steem is also making his way to Poland. I've spend a fair bit of time bitching discussing all things Steem this year with him on Discord. I expect this will flow out into conversation, as he sips his half a shandy late into the early evening.
Last year, a dog joined us at the conference events. Sadly, I forget her name, but later found out the owner was @pharesim. I remember the hair, longer than my late fathers. If you and all are attending this year, I'll hopefully get chance to greet you again.
@steevc (The geeky guitarist), and @luzcypher (of @openmic fame), were two of the first people I met at last years event. Both of these guys are solid Steemians, doing their bit for the community. Sadly, I have no fiat to trade for STEEM with you this time @luzcypher - If I did, I would tough, we are in buying territory imo.
I hear top witness @gtg will be at the evening, having already scoped the city out quite recently with @roelandp. You cant pass up the opportunity to meet top witnesses, and these also include @lukestokes and @timcliff. All of which are likely to be able provide golden nuggets of information, when the right questions are asked.
@celestal, @guyfawkes4-20, and @raj808 are three guys I've also been chatting to on Discord at times over the past few months. One thing we have in common is that we are all flat broke, and I suspect a contest on who can turn up in Poland with the most efficient suitcase. 4 pairs of socks, inside out makes 8?
@revisesociology, a retired (he's not that old) teacher come blockchain hippy, is another i'm quite looking to forward to sharing a beer with. He'll be one to watch, or at least listen to, as he starts heckling Jerry the 2nd...
@slobberchops will hopefully have dried his mouth, but not his humor, enough to avoid errr, slobbering on the people he meets. Got to be worth a few words with with that account name, you would hope!
@stephenkendal, are you making it over this year? Thanks for the Steem introduction!
And finally, hopefully @meno (@helpie), @scipio (@steem-ua), and @therealwolf (@smartsteem and witness) will be there. Discussions on and off chain have not always been the most straight-forward at times, and so meeting in person would be a good thing I think.
If I've missed you out, it doesn't mean we wont bump into each other and have a decent chat about Steem - Eric's 'aftershave', how good the beer is, or whatever else comes to mind.
See, I almost forgot @crimsonclad, no doubt I'll see you at the bar - someone's gotta prop that thing up!

I love to tease. Technically, I have two shows I normally do in the timeframe that we are there, but I haven't figured out what time of day they would be at because timezones are stupid... you can be on air if we do it IF there is NO poopstick, EVER and FOREVER AMEN.

WOW...@ashar aka @abh12345, You seem pumped before this SF3. I can understand how it feels to meet the leaders at such a conference for the very first time. You've achieved $10,000 milestone in 1 year that's great. Congrats and good luck with @ginabot.

You mentioned a lot of people I'd love to meet at Steemfest, including you! The recent steemitblog contest has me excited, as a few people have nominated me as a musician. If I had the trip paid for, it would be possible for me to actually attend! The most exciting thing would be the chance to perform my music for all these amazing people, a way to give back and share myself with those who have become friends and even feel like family. I hope you get a free ride too, Asher. Steem on!

I hope everyone enjoys Krakow! I have specifically avoided posts about SF3 since I am going to be at a business conference in Milwaukee during the time you all are having a blast in Poland. Maybe next year if the scheduling falls right I can make my way over.

What I do remember is that I took a photo of you last year and had to check out the tag as I didn't remember the face...so that could be my answer right there. Now, THIS time around, the face will be recognized, even without the name tag, I promise! Hahaha, @jeffjagoe lost more than his phone last year, he also lost his way (to his apartment). I had the honour to meet him again this year on Paddy's day here in Dublin, where he lost his way (to his apartment) again. Great guy! There are a few people on that list that I remember and am looking forward to seeing again, as well as others that I haven't met yet. It will be a great time, that's for sure. Oh, and you can put me in the 'flat broke club' this year...Good thing Poland isn't expensive...😊
