I was going to write mountain, but Blackford Hill is not that high. It's another lovely morning in Edinburgh. I did another random run around the Hermitage of Braid. This is just a great place to run with numerous tracks through the woods. It's well used by runners and dog walkers. I ran up as far as the observatory. How's that for a blue sky with the Moon too.
Some of my exploring lead to dead ends, but that's okay. You have to be careful as there are some steep, rocky slopes up there. I followed various paths back to 'civilisation', but I'd have preferred to stay away from the traffic. You can forget it for a while up on the hill. This was another run with lots of climbing.
I'll be back here some time and will explore some more.

I think the hills help build some strength. My brother in law does the 7 Hills race here. Not sure I'd get far in that

What a lovely place to holiday. I was there 30 years ago. Beautiful, lovely view of the city. I've never been back, not even for the Edinburgh Festival, which I always fancied. Funny to think you were there today. :)

That's a great sky, it's all grey overhere and colder every day. They say next week will be some good days again.. I hope it will because we are going on a family weekend and I still am cold of the Belgium adventure :)

How can I get my legs back to normal quicker, between runs?
I find it just comes with time. Some days I could barely walk after a run
I've tried stretching, but it doesn't help that much. Its probably cause I'm not used to running. I'm gonna leave a few days between runs till I improve.
I don't do much stretching. Giving your body some recovery time is the best policy
