In The Name Of Science - Sexually Abusing Young Rats

in #science7 years ago (edited)

Science Doesn't Give A Rats Ass!

I ran across an article about scientist sexually exciting young rats causing early puberty. My first thought was, "That's gross!" My second thought was, "I wonder if this happens to humans as well?"

All mammals go through puberty, but science has no clue how it happens, many feel sex hormones have something to do with the changing of mammals bodies and behavior as they mature into adults.

Male and female rats were put in one cage, other cages were for only male or females, which were not separated so the rats could smell and hear each other. The mixed cage rats genitals grew faster than the cages separated by gender.

The big question was in this study, how did mixing genders create increased growth of genitals? It wasn't the scent of the other gender causing early puberty that also caused the rat brain's cortex connected to the genitals to grow rapidly.

This is the gross part, the scientist felt that it was the mixing of genders that was causing increased growth of the sexual part of the brain and genitals. They used some lubrication and massaged the rats genitals. And then the scientist compared the sexually abused rats to non sexually abused rats. The study found that stimulating the young rats genitalia was the cause of early puberty

The scientific articles I have read, which are linked at the end of my article, say it has now been proven, sexually stimulating young rats genitals causes early puberty. Now there will be studies to see if this is true for all mammals, which I am sure includes humans. So scientist are going to lube up the private parts of young animals and they don't need to do this to humans. We have foster homes full of sexually abused children that have already been studied.

I wonder if our hyper-sexual environment can also cause human young to physically mature early too? I checked and there are tons of studies that suggest foster kids taken from sexually abusive environments sexually mature early physically and mentally. But maybe the children were touched sexually rather than just emotionally abused? Because I was abused but fought like a wild animal when anyone touched my body. Eventually I was sent to a foster home. I matured late and I had pretty normal behavior regarding my relationships. Except I didn't trust anyone and still don't, especially scientists.

Strangest thing I read on steemit in a while nice job

This is mild compared to the research articles I read in college for my nursing degree, which I don't finish my Bachelor of Science in Nursing for this reason.

True enough the internet is definitely full of strange things. I have read some strange science articles just usually not posted here ^^ Like turning fatberg aka a lot of fat in sewer systems into energy etc.
The rat story didn't show up in my feeds though so was nice to read about that ^^
https://www.livescience.com/60046-strange-science-news.html

I've read about the alien globs of fat growing in our cities sewers.... We could power the world on the garbage we throw away!

Well we do have teenage mutant ninja turtles and master splinter :)
But ya we definitely could use some of that wasted energy and put it to good use

Have you seen congress lately? There are some mutants right there :P

Rofl well there must be something funky in the water :)

The sexually children no are increasing every day no only in foster homes but in almost every aspect of life ,i have read many articles upon the title ,makes me wonder where we are and how much we have lowed down in humanity

We just want a peaceful life with no whatsoever tragedies to be told to our sons and daughters in the future ,i hope it will come true Oneday

@rehan12, I've read that humans have gone through cycles and at the end of every cycle is insanity, debauchery, and the fall of what used to be a functional society.

I think the only way to find a peaceful life is not to feed the beast...the beast within and the beast that profits from others suffering.

i heard one news that in india one man abuse with his dog for four days.. is it possible .. that man can rape dogs.. how shit..

This happens in America too, bestiality I think it's called...but if done in the name of science, it is okay.

you are right @reddust its really sexual abusing of young rats

But scientist will argue that this must be done to save people from suffering, even though they are causing suffering to save people from suffering...it makes no sense to me. Health is not profitable, so you see only what is not healthy being studied.

that banana pic hahahaha ! :D @reddust :D make me distract from the topic ? :D

That picture represents our media and the influence of hypersexualizing our children to be good little consumers. Their brain is not focused on what is true and good but on what they can consume.

like me ?? hahaha

I think you are a normal full grown man, you are not a child lol

but child for you :)

You could be my son🌞

How beautiful would it be if we could just see souls instead of bodies? To see love and compassion instead of curves :)

I think as children we see souls instead of bodies, that's why kids can see ghost and other non physical beings.

Kids can see ghost? Where did you get this idea from?

I've seen them and so have most of my childhood friends, there are also spirits of the forest that are easy to see as a child growing up I saw many energy bundles, they look like fractals. My friends saw ghost I saw energy bundles. My youngest daughter had invisible friends, who is to say they were imaginary, maybe they were as real as you and I?

Interesting. I would like to read your views about this video,

The language is Hindi, but basically a Muslim woman climbs to a narrow branch of a tree, which is almost 30 ft above the ground, every time she has to say her prayers. Is she possessed by some supernatural being or what is up with her, according to you?

I've seen this behavior in our population. I don't know what is going on with her and I no longer see ghosts after I did many meditation retreats through a Buddhist Burmese meditation master. Most children grow out of their invisible friends and seeing ghost as well. I was told the only way one can know what is going on in another persons mind is to be a Buddha or God if you believe in Gods. I do not believe modern psychology or science understands human experience very well, especially our Westernized Modern psychology.

Nice science. Hehe.
Best work @redd

The article made me angry, so many horrible things have been done in the name of science, so awful, I can't read them and dare not post them on steemit. Even though the studies are scientific they would need NSFW tag.

terrible.? no, it all depends on who wins it.

Practically speaking you are right, but from the looks of it, science isn't winning a blue ribbon for contributing to a healthy functional society.

hem .. if that's what you mean .. i have no basis for commenting more.

I understand...

@reddust,
Interesting article, but I'm little bit shy to do a proper reply on this topic :D Hope you understand!

Cheers~

Well, we can keep it clinical, no need to be shy about this, it's scientific and abuse in the name of science is rampant. I could list studies that would make your toes curl with horror.

Something i will never understand. Makes me want to vomit.

I don't have a hard time butchering farm animals for food, but I have an awful time with experiments on animals. The experimental animals live in cages all their lives until they die. In the wilds an animals death is swift and most don't live long. On the farm I grew up on and surrounded by other small farms we took care of our livestock. Until butcher time they lived safe healthy lives and their death was swift.

I wonder what this kind of research does to scientist?

Torture is a bit different isn't it :(

Yes it is...but torture here is called scientific research.

I like my post you

Why do you like my post @nietaasyqil? You can write in your language and I will use a translator <3

Hard for me not to fire off an emotionally charged commentary on sexuality and scientists, but I'll refrain.

I'm married to someone who suffered unspeakable horrors as a kid, in foster care, and in the hands of "creepy cousins," and later just uncivilized... men. She's managed to work through it and put it behind her... but the lasting scars are inevitable.

The science makes no sense to me... why do we NEED things to "become adult" sooner? Where's the value? What do we gain?

I don't know if this study will be used to breed animals earlier including humans. I know here in the West we are breeding later in life and our fertility rates are going down. We Westerners are not producing enough babies to support the aging population. So maybe the powers that be want to keep our population steady because of our social security needs so we are being manipulated to start breeding earlier for our post industrial population.

I know a hypersexual youth is very easy to control as well.

I am sorry your wife had to go through that and work her way out of her conditioning but she is light years ahead of most of the worlds population if you look on the positive side of a horrible experience. That's how I look at my childhood abuse, I woke up to the world of trauma that surrounds me and my world. I think because of our entertainment industry we all experience some of that bonding trauma on a subliminal level.

This rat study is so ... ugh. But you bring up some important points. Sometimes (briefly) I think I'm overly protective of my kids. Your blog encourages me to carry on in the same way. I also developed very late, just as I turned 17!!! But it has done me no harm.

I tried to protect my kids but I was so young and still overcoming the conditioning of my childhood abuse, I was clueless regarding the institutional abuse of children. I was aware of family and friends being the biggest danger regarding sexual predators. As I matured I saw how our schools, medical institutions, and corporations pray on our children as well....kind of freaked me out for a couple years until I did some historical research. This has been a cycle throughout human history. When the powerful become all powerful they develop deviant behaviors that eventually destroy what they tried to build and protect. The best way to protect and inoculate ourselves and our family waking up to the fact that we should not trust any authority and thoroughly research anyone who says they have consensus regarding a theory in science.

Yes, I agree 100%. It is a hell of a wake up.

I understand your indignation at the treatment of the rats, but how do you propose we research this kind of thing without using animals?

I don't really enjoy seeing animals get hurt during this kind of experiment but at the same time I can't say we should stop all research on subjects not easily observed in nature.

Difficult topic! I liked the post. Personally, it sounds likely that it happens in humans as well. I've also read and heard about such cases in abused children, but since the environment isn't controlled and I've honestly only read separate testimonials instead of studies on the subject, I couldn't say with certainty. I'll read your linked articles and see if I can form an educated opinion.

Upvoted!

We don't need research of this kind we have thousands and thousands of young kids who have been sexually abused and reams of data from studies done on these poor kids. Throughout history lore, myth, religious teachings have warned us humans, we do not sexually touch young children.

Science likes to measure things in a closed system, which there is no such thing in nature and I can't figure out how closed system research can relate to our open system called life.

That's the issue with scientific research, there's a method to it. You can't rule out outside factors with the data obtained from real cases.

Lore, myth and religion have also taught us to hate people different from us, they've taught us men are more important than women, they've taught us it's perfectly fine to murder children if god wills it, etc. They're really not that reliable a source of information!

I'll leave history out of that one because history doesn't usually have a specific thing it wants to transmit. It's merely facts (according to whoever wrote that specific bit of history) open to interpretation and full of lessons to be extracted from it.

Honestly, it's not like these studies seek to prove it's bad to touch children, that much is obvious. Learning how the human body and mind work is what helps medicine and other related fields advance. That said, don't misunderstand me, I wouldn't condone doing this kind of thing to children for science. Regrettably, that's where the rats come in...

By the by, I am not throwing the baby out with the bath water regarding all science is bad. Although many do this with religions, as if everything in religion is horrible. I understand the scientific method is a tool and nothing more. I like science and I have a inquiring mind. I just don't like greed and politics involved in science, but that is whimsical feeling, this is the way the world works. So I always question science, since it is not a religion and science is based on questions.

Science has also taught us to hate people, like the science of racism, although now called pseudoscientific. Old lore and myth are ways of teaching people what is good and not good. There are many areas in life that are gray and cannot be measured and science dislikes things it cannot measure, that's why philosophy was caste out of both science and religion walked away from their love of Sophia, casting her out and learned to walk on their own. Now both are full of knowledge but do not know how to use their knowledge correctly.

...as if a human is a rat or a rat is a human.

Than there have been many studies that have used humans just like rats and I am talking about right now, not in the dark past of science where there was no regard for the well being of the scientist or their human test subjects.

No one talks about what happens to the scientist that have to carry out these kind of experiments. The science of jerking off baby rats and measuring the growth of their little brains and genitals.

Our past==> Unethical human experimentation in the United States

I love this old man, he reminds me of Santa Claus (Frithjof Schoun)The man who wishes to know the visible -to know it both in entirety and in depth - is obliged for that very reason to know the Invisible, on pain of absurdity and ineffectualness; to know it according to the principles which the very nature of the Invisible imposes on the human mind; hence to know it by being aware that the solution to the contradictions of the objective world is found only in the transpersonal essence of the subject, namely in the pure Intellect.

Despite these regulations, researchers at leading medical schools and hospitals across the U.S. continue to conduct unethical human experiments with alarming frequency, with the results of many of these studies appearing in prestigious medical journals such as the NEJM.

reddust Iv'e only just touched knowing about you and have become quite impressed . I am just a retired construction worker who prides myself in using my common sense. I don't have the education to discus involved subjects. But I do see wrong when I'm staring at it. These animal experiments that you speak of are wrong. I have High re guard for all life' You know, do to others that you would do to yourself.

I'm just a little girl from the backwoods of Oregon. This topic is all about common sense, you don't need a college education to discuss this topic. Science has a very dark past regarding abusive research and that darkness never went away, it just hid behind degrees and fancy universities that are drunk mad from billions of dollars given to them by corporations and our government.

My first thought was, "That's gross!" My second thought was, "I wonder if this happens to humans as well?"

Now you're thinking just like the scientists!

Nobody likes testing on animals. Unfortunately the experiments yield information that is important for our understanding of human development. The animal testing is a necessary evil. The long term goal is to develop sufficient technologies such that animal models can eventually be replaced with something else. But for studies like this one, I am not so certain that will happen any time soon.

I had to read a lot of ethics papers and philosophy given to me by my mentor Dr Wise who was lead researcher at the primate center at Emory University. There are a lot of ways to research and our ethics in science today as in the past are pretty much non existent. I mean there are a lot of ways to get around ethics if you have the right kind of funding. There may be benefits but most of the time research is done for profit and control rather than for health and freedom. https://www.newscientist.com/article/mg23531331-500-the-ethics-issue-should-we-stop-doing-science/

There may be benefits but most of the time research is done for profit

So what? You're talking to someone who does research for profit. Your implication is that my (well technically not my specifically but people like me) underlying motivations are not to help people. To which I take offense. Whats wrong with profits AND making the world a better place?

Because I've worked with nurses who tried to get funding and grants for research to help children and family health, there was no profit for big companies involved and no grants were given. This happens all the time and you know it.

I know the dark underbelly of research and grant world. Most of the funding for research comes from too large to fail corporations and government officials that depend on corporations to give them a job or fund their campaign running for office. The world of research is one big circle jerk.

You are the one that chooses to be offended or not offended...that is called true freedom. You have a choice...

wow for science? is there any other way to get the same information by doing this experiment differently?

Yes if there is a will, there is a way....most research has nothing to do with health and well being. Science wants to answer a question even though some question don't have answers or we shouldn't be finding out the answers because we don't have the wisdom to handle the truth yet.

ya, science may seem to be neutral but can be very hurtful and mean in the process for so called "science"

Humans have biases and needs, I don't think there is such a thing as unbiased research...hopefully I am wrong...I think there is a lot of really stupid research though...just a waste of grant money to pay the bills, the mortgage, and the research hurts the subjects it is experimenting on and also may be overwhelmingly redundant.

I can see your dilemma about posting these kinds of scientific studies. Not even sure why this information is relevant. 🐓🐓

I think this article is relevant, it goes where most of us don't want to go if we follow the trail....Science can get pretty twisted. As I stated in the article we have thousands and thousands of foster kids that have been sexually abused and show the same signs as these young rats. There really is no need for this kind of study. Most of our social taboos regarding sexualizing children are from our experience in the past regarding the warping of the body and mind when the young are sexually stimulated too early.

Also, no father in the house has the effective result of early puberty.

And then we have Dizney "kids" movies. I would love to see a study on that but I do not know where we would find a control group.

I've written articles in the past about the sexual hidden messages in our children's media entertainment. There are reams of studies and documentaries about this subject. Mature subject matter but I've watched all the documentaries and they aren't as bad as some of the PG 13 movies I've watched.

fantastic post, a relation between opposite sex and growth, its called hypothesis.thanks.

Very interesting and strange) resteem

wow something different.... nice to know :)

We come to this world for a certain experience. Our soul knows why, although we do not remember. In this way, the reaction of all, including children, to physical contact attempts will be different. I do not claim that this is true, but it seems to me that this is so. Otherwise, if we focus only on physiology, everyone would react in the same way within their biological species.

I don't know if this is true, so many thousands if not millions of people being born to experience war and abuse...I think there is a imbalance in our system right now. The wobble will become so bad that these system will crash and a new system will be built. Those who are aware take advantage of this cycles or stay out of the way.

You seemed to read my mind. I often say that at some point our civilization has chosen the wrong way and from this all our problems appear.

is that a rat ... ??

Yes, thank you..

I have never really liked rats; not saying they are bad but just don't like them which is why I did not read this post. However, each time I visited your blog in search of a new painting, I saw this post which compelled me to read it and honestly, I feel so disgusted at those scientists right now. Never felt my heart melt down like this for rats ever. Such poor creatures. Honestly, scientists are getting crazier by the day. Thank you fir highlighting this issue.
