Welcome in this new year - and let us share this big smile of joy - woooooohhhhh - remember when we would give each other a penny.... and say "here you have my penny".... and just look at us now! Today it is a 20 and more penny we can give, hehe... you know what - I am staying on board - how about you? Promise me, that whenever you dropp out - make sure to leave me an adress to get in touch!!!

Glad you are staying. I would miss you.

I'm also staying for the year that I promised myself. I still have a lot of stuff to put out there and I'm still trying to figure out how to become more "popular" and less "quality" since that is really what this platform is about, though not what I'm about. In retrospect, I can't believe I could think it would be otherwise. Steemit is just part of the same "information" system. The only difference is that here there is more self interest involved. It's less about learning something than it is about curating something that might go viral and thereby make a lot of Steem. I know this doesn't apply to you or a few of my other friends on Steemit, but it is certainly true for the vast majority, particularly the whales. Silly me.

Funny that 20 pennies is a big deal. Lol.

I will let you know if I leave the platform, or more likely, morph into a different character with a different approach. This is just a game, after all. Happy New Year. Spring is right around the corner.

it is a game - let's play it wisely :-) some messages can be brought out into this world without being serious about the meaning and depth of the message itself! I am considering to open a second accound here to have all of the "club-related" post on the @jkiw and the artist, poet, philosophy ones on a "private" one... but for now I will stick to what I have and just keep doing my best to post original content with interessting topics.... and maybe even join into the colorchallenges ;-) Cheers to you my friend - from the Seven Mountains in Germany <3

Indeed. I was pleased to see that your pasta article was so well received. That's the sort of post people want to read about. They don't want their personal views challenged.

I'm not going to change peoples minds. I just want them to think about things in a different way. Some might. Most won't and the few who do won't make much of a difference in the world. I'm done with the Don Quixote battle for now. Maybe I'll stab at that windmill again later. Thanks for letting me reflect.

well, and in a way posts like the one on pasta or wooden whisks do carry some "wind of change" in them.... but without challenging - rather inviting .... who knows how many I could encourage to at least THINK about making their own pasta, their own wooden whisks, hehe ;-) leave the windmill behind!
