This week's share your battle challenge involves using a creature from the dragon splinter. This will be the first challenge from this splinter
Let's jump right into it!
Theme: Manticore

Manticore is an epic reward card from the Beta series. It has two abilities: Flying and Reach
It costs 0.25$ making it one of the most expensive reward cards available
Its price and rarity is completely justified due to many reasons
- Low mana cost. With only a mana cost of 4 the Manticore is one of the strongest attacking cards available
- Strong attack at low levels, reaching 2 melee attack at level 2
- High Hitpoints, making it a perfect option for first (and second) position.
- The Dragon Splinter: The Manticore can be combined with every splinter
The manticore is thus a card that can be used as an all rounder on many rulesets, mostly thanks to its abilities and its low mana cost.
Rulesets like Little League and Earthquake are one of the best rulesets for the manticore
The Battle
The Battle involved Standard rules
Normally I don't use the all out attack melee lineup.
However this time I saw no other option left because my rival had way better summoners than I did.
With this lineup I am able to increase the melee attack of all my cards by 2
My Lineup
- To Start with my all out attack lineup my first card is the Goblin Mech. It has one of the highest attacks out there and it is also very good defensively
- For my second position I decided to use the Manticore. Its reach ability makes it one of the best suited for it.
- The Armorsmith occupies my third position. Its ability to repair makes it very valuable. I could have used another card with the opportunity ability though
- Cave Slug: For an all out melee lineup the Opportunity ability is one of the best out there. The Cave Slug has one of the highest attacks
- Silvershield Assasin: For rulesets with a high mana cap the Silvershield is amazing. Sneak and double strike are an amazing combo
- Silvershield Knight: The most important part of my All out Attack lineup. It has the inspire ability which increases the melee attack of all my units by 1.
The attack of Manticore was doubled on this setup, something that proved very helpful.
I narrowly won the battle. Luckily for me my rival didn't have any card with the sneak ability.
