This challenge is for you!

Each week we'll have a new THEME for the challenge, but always required: BATTLES.

THEME: MANTICORE

Edition: REWARD
Rarity: EPIC
Element: DRAGON
Current Trade Value: $0.21

Note from Carrie: I've NEVER done a card from the Dragon Splinter! Well, today is the day. This reward card is no longer printing and there are only 241 on the market! I do see people playing with it a lot. I think it's pretty awesome, except I don't use the Dragon Splinter much. Show me all the secrets of the Dragons! Oh! If you do NOT have a Dragon summoner or do not have this card and don't want to buy it just highlight another card you like and tell me all about it!

  • Create a post sharing a video of one of your battles using the MANTICORE.
    • Make it look good. With more folks creating content you REALLY need to make your posts look GREAT. Need help formatting? Check out this ULTIMATE MARKDOWN TUTORIAL
    • Want card images by level to really make your posts shine? Check out this POST from @splinterlands showing you how!
    • Tag splinterlands and spt (SPT rewards in tokens on the Steem blockchain.).
  • Tell us about your lineup. Explain why you put each card in that position and why the MANTICORE is a good fit for the ruleset.
  • Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
  • Do you use the MANTICORE often? Why or why not?
  • Share your post to some OTHER Social Media site. Literally ANY site. (We want more people to know the joy of playing!)
  • Link both your STEEM and/or HIVE post(s) AND the social media site you shared it to in the comment section below.

I've been spreading out the votes as much as I can and giving EVERYONE a vote if they follow the basic rules above, but am finding a lot of people doing the bare minimum. I will now be looking for HIGH-QUALITY POSTS (I was always looking for these) and instead of an auto upvote just for entering I'll likely suggest how to make your post better to earn that upvote. Don't forget to SHARE across social media!

If you post on both chains AND share the link on the challenge posts (on Steem or Hive) I will upvote both! This is NOT double posting. Steem and Hive are separate blockchains now, much like Facebook and Twitter are not the same. 😉 TL;DR: Post on Steem and Hive, get upvotes on Steem and Hive.

    I have a nice battle I think:

    but I am not a designer to do some awesome post from this.

    OK Let's explain the monsters:

    1st Position: Cocatrice to use flying and Dodge ... ok ruleset was reverse speed but he could escape from the first two attacks and with only 12 Mana he is also by reverse speed in my opinion a good choise for first position.

    2nd Position: The Manticore with nice damage, good life, thorns and flying - I think he done his job very good. He always hit and never miss and his thorns was necessary to win this battle cause it was really close.

    3rd Position: Fiendish Harpey to search the week point by the opponent.

    4th position: Creeping Ooze - ok it's maybe suprising to use him in reverse speed, but I expected sneak and so I put one more monster for my opponent before he can reach my attacking monsters.

    5th position: The chicken - If one place is free always put the chicken ... I don't like to put the chicken at first postion cause of the Exploding Dwarf ... ok I understand it was reverse speed and so I even could try at first position - but I won the fight and so all was ok.

    If you need help making your posts look awesome check out 🌟ULTIMATE Markdown Tutorial🌟. However, if you simply inlcluded what you said here, plus a couple of images (could be screenshots) and maybe a conclusion paragraph... you'd be good to go!

      When you want to see battles form players you should let them play. Splinterlands took yesterday away delegation from my account and limited me with this to 4 battles a day. Altough I invested 1005 USD by the Untamed-Kickstarter-Campaign.
      How I should win 5 battles for the daily quest when I can play only 4 battles a day ?

      Seems you want push me out of the game and also don't allow me to play tournaments or how I should understand this ?

      Hey there!
      I'm checking on this for you.
      However, if needed I'm totally cool with delegating some power to you! I see you are powering up when you can and that's great!

      With all the chain switching ANYTHING could be happening right now.

      Our goal (no matter how bad you are feeling) isn't to make you upset. We delegate so you CAN play... it's not required, just a nice thing to help out. And many of our community members do the same thing... we share.

      When we are all nice and understanding more gets done and no one feels bad.

      I'll keep you posted on an answer. DO let me know if you'd like ME to PERSONALLY delegate to you for a while (so you can power up yourself)... or if you're 'over it', that's fine too. But I'd love to help if you want it. 🥰 Tag me! @carrieallen (so I definitely see your reply)

      @carrieallen thank you very much for your nice reply.
      Yes I powered up the steem I had today (ok was not much but I think better than nothing) and also took my curation rewards (also not much), so I done what I can do. I will also try to be more active at the blogchain to get some more rewards.
      It would be really perfect if you could help me a little bit - thanks for this great offer. In every case I want the delegation only to play, so I will try to give you the voting power back with upvotes for your content.

      @angstgegner Hey 🥰
      I checked with the devs about the delegation removal. It seems to be issues with the blockchain. And I was told that anything that 'disappears' will/should be automatically returned.

      But... Imma just go ahead and delegate some to you, so you can definitely play. 🥰

      And... it's done! I delegated 100 for now. Do let me know if you play so much you need more!

      Just a little "problem" I think you delegate me hive isn't it ?

      The problem ist that splinterlands run (at least at the moment) at steem, so I would need Steempower not Hivepower.

      I think from what I calculatet 100 Steempower should be in every case enough. I think with this I can play 100 battles a day isn't it ?
      If I calculate right I need approximately 1 Steempower for 1 battle a day isn't it ?

      Ahhh! You're right! I totally just went into my wallet (here... on hive... ) and did it!

      I'll fix it. Though steem is having trouble going through. I should be able to get it going soon!

      Honestly, I'm not entirely sure about the number of games vs steempower... But that sounds good. 🤣

                                          The reason for this initiative is to get others excited about playing and learning strategies. Share you strategies with the world!

                                          No need to just upload the video to Youtube, the battle links are great to share in posts. However, if you want to capture yourself (webcam) while you're playing, that's fun!

                                          Hey, thanks yes I was testing the video screen capture and noticed I couldn't upload via @3speak so tried YouTube?! Not really my thing in the future if people are interested in the content I might look at doing mic and cam. Still finding my way around @carrieallen love the updates hope the hive engine model is ready soonish.
