Opening SportsTalkSocial Post - 30,000 SPORTS Vested

Good afternoon sports fans!

This is my first post with this account, made specifically for sportstalksocial.com. And, I've just loaded up the account with just over 30,000 SPORTS ready to curate the sports related content that appeals to me.

This could be anything from Football (Soccer for some of you), Golf, Swimming, Tennis, Snooker, Athletics, and probably a fair few more that don't come to mind right now. If your content isn't sports related, I may write a message informing you, and if you are really taking the piss repeatedly, I'll likely downvote your content. This account has no other vested stake other than SPORTS.

This account also gives me a little more freedom to post content that perhaps the majority of my followers at @abh12345 aren't used to seeing / didn't follow me for.

Like this :)

My daughter swims for a club, and yesterday she was at a county gala event performing a couple of 50 meter events. She's been swimming since she was 3, and her mum and grandma (and my late father) are keen swimmers.

Since starting out, she has had a couple of notable coaches. One of which trained Rebecca Adlington who won 2 gold medals at the 2008 Olympics.

Her best stroke is butterfly, which is apparently the most energy-zapping of all the strokes used in events. The good thing about learning early though is that the main focus is technique. Over 50 meters and at this age, you can get away without perfect technique if you are ahead of your peers in strength, and my daughter is much better over further.

She's in lane 3:

4th in lane 3 - 35:02

Her time of 35:02 is a personal best, beating the one she set at the same event a year ago. This last year though she has mainly been focusing on further, and she often lets me know that she swam '150+ lengths this evening' - damn!

What's cool is that the girls ahead of her in this race are a year older, and second or two at this level can easily be made up via a little more experience and strength. I'm looking forward to watching her race over further as technique will come into play more.

Thanks for reading,

Asher

Oh my God. You've gone rogue. I will have to send the hunters out after you and bring you in!!

3 Posts today for various tribes, time to start working like Taraz!

And if you are not viewing from the sportstalksocial.com interface, the vote on your comment will look a bit shit!

Ha!! I looked, that's insane!!! The payouts are mental! Your a whale!!

Someone's got to show them how to do it!

Already Whale attitude - awesome lol

I heard it was good to think big and thought i'd give it a go :D

wise decision amigo

Where are your beer sports posts my friend :-)? @meesterboom

Hehe, beer sports would be an awesome thing!!

Lol, I am always happy with whatever vote I get!!

You will be flat out ban, good luck!

man, or banned? :D

Cheers!

Lol! Autocorrect!! Man Man!!! ;0P

Phew! Spent the last hour hiding in the bathroom!

You are going to become a whale in every pond! Keep up the good work!

Such is the distribution for SPORTS, it is possible here but I don't think it will be the case elsewhere. Thank you and the same to you!

it looks like a lot of work to manage all your accounts :)

Well I have a lot of time at present and so might as well give it a try :)

I am looking forward to your sports posts and seeing how your daughter improves as she gets older. It is amazing how one year can change the times significantly and who knows how good she can become.

Thanks very much, I hope I can produce something of interest from the sporting world, and if not i can always blog about my daughters activities :)

Good to see you on this site as well. I find it has the most interesting content for me compared to a lot of the tech stuff on STEEM. Up to 40K on my account. This must be what the early days of steem felt like.

I wouldn't know about the earliest days of Steem but yeah, quite nice to pack a vote worth something at present!

I'd added some followers from the main account who post sport related content and have to say I do like having similar content in one place.

Butterfly is a tough one . One of the hardest . Fair play to her

Posted using Partiko iOS

Yeah for sure. One that i would only practice without anyone looking! :)

Welcome to the club 😁

Oh hii, thank you!

you really did open up all kind of acc :D the idea is great, i just don't have enough of tokens and am to lazy to manage few accounts.
love swimming, never learned butterfly, it is hard.

Yeah I've gone for it this week!

That stroke is intense and has taken her a lot of practice. Reckon I've got her beat over the first .5 seconds though with the dive in :D

I remember swimming and racing, and oh oh how much fun and dangerous Water Polo was. I never had the upper body strength for the butterfly stroke, I specialized in the side stoke as a kid, never really won many races, but still had a blast in High School swimming.

Thanks for this post, it allowed me to find another community. I love how all this is growing. Two full social sites, a finance tribe, a bank tribe (@neoxian, started his Neoxian_City tribe), and now a sports page. I wonder how long before @informationwar get their politics tribe going they always have some fun reading.

Thanks for the offer of help a few days back, but I am going to try to avoid having more names and more account passwords to lose for now, I may hit you up in the future if I do change my mind. I think my Web page will help me out some as I continue to build it.

My dad used to play a lot of Water Polo and he used to tell me how rough it was. My daughter plays at time too, with the guys as they don't have a club for her age group.

Things here are starting to look very interesting and I'm enjoying seeing how these new tribes develop. I'm hoping to see more UK football chat, and plan to kick that off on my feed soon enough.

No worries re: an account, just let me know (although the service I use isn't working today. Cheers :)

Water polo is a fun sport, tough but fun, it does build stamina up. I think the Tribes/Communities are going to work out, we will see what the future holds, if nothing else it will make things interesting for a bit.

Looks like your daughter loves swimming. She got the first lesson about swimming from her family, I guess. Wish her all the best!

Looking forward to reading your posts!

Yes she did, I did take her but just for fun and not to practice.

Thanks for visiting :)

ahhhh justifiable proud Dad syndrome! Swimming is one of those sports that seems to take the most effort to become competitive. I used to work next door to Leeds international pool and as I was getting into work at 8am, there were kids coming out who had been training for 2 hours already!

Unlike football, where you can have a greasy fry up the morning after a Saturday night on the beer and still play like a hero in a Sunday League game, swimming needs absolute discipline and commitment, and its bloody hard work.

Best wishes to her, when kids work that hard towards something and have such dedication, it can only reap great rewards in their futures in whatever they end up doing.

Hope life is treating you kindly back in the UK mate :-)

Sure is :D

Perfect time for sportstalksocial to arrive as I've only just moved back and started seeing her again, and I have a feeling i'll be at a fair few of these events with any luck.

The 6 am training though, not sure about that although at present I could make it there - cheers for the idea :)

Thanks very much dude!

Congrats to your daughter on attaining a personal best record.

You stated that almost all your family is of swimmers, you did not mention yourself though hehehe!!

I do write about sports an I have another account that I will transfer this content to.

Thank you :)

Yes, the reason is that I am a terrible swimmer but i think you already guessed that!

I think a separate account, especially as you cannot delegate SPORTS yet, is a good idea. Good luck!

Hey mate - I have found a solution to use VP here and not to waste too much on Steem, I just delegate my SP on Steem to Steemmonsters and can then curate better here :-) or kind of. Last option to create a dedicated new account here and hire a personal female assistant :-).

That is a workable solution also!

Good luck finding the female assistant, if she has a sister then send her over :D

I would say, a job in Mallorca is very welcomed :-). I will test the delegation part and then see how it works - I have less and less time for all these blockchain throughtout my daily life but there is always new exciting stuff coming - difficult for my poor management capabilities.

Well I'm glad that you are holding on and hoping for better times ahead :)

If we lose hope, we lose all. So working on it. (Voting xcomments later when i have a bit more VP - and before i flag the shit - however not becoming a whale like you that fast or if at all).

Great community work you do here already!

Great one - first of the new communities I really learn new things of fellow blockchain friends!

I like your strategy to divide accounts per token / community. I am not ready yet for that but might consider.

Yeah I'm really enjoying going through through the sports and hope more people are attracted to this community.

You are pretty burned on Steem SP but ready to rock with Sports SP :)

Hmmm - I still have no idea of the tribes to be honest, do we have the same 15 minutes voting window as on Steemit? I assume so. I know tons of sports people that might jump on tis here.

What you mean I am "pretty burned on Steem SP"?

Yes I think it's the same 15 minute window - not sure what happen when Steem changes to 1 minute for the next fork.

Your Steem VP was in the 70's when I sent the link above earlier, but your Sports VP was almost at 100. With 2 accounts, it would be possible to balance these better.

Thx mate - so there s a tool to check your VP per Tribe, this is helpful and was one of the things I was searching for!

So happy to meet great mind like you with such great talent.
That short video just awaken my consciousness that Gwangju 2019 World Aquatics Championships
Event kick-off today in south Korea and I believe that your daughter will be having some good time keeping an eye on her super models.
Congratulations to her for such a nice record and a thank you for giving her your support.

I will try to bring update of the Gwangju 2019 World Aquatics Championships
Event from time to time.
Thanks and welcome.

You have 70000 plus vested sports and still counting. Cheers for more!

Oh yeah, I may have bought a few more not long after this post :D

Congrats @ab12345.sports.
Now i am confused, do i need to separate to create other account? - coz its reflect to my voting power too. hmmm....

https://economicstudio.github.io/vp/?a=calprut&t=SPORTS

You can see your Steem VP and your Sports VP here. With one account it is harder to manage them - your Sports is at 100% but your Steem is much lower. With 2 accounts you can vote with just Sports or just Steem.

oh i see, thanks for the info.
I will divide to second account, so i can focus on SPORTS after next payout :)

Congratulations @abh12345.sports!
