Any byteball referral bytes I earn will be used to purchase Steem.

in #steem7 years ago

Thank you to @dj123 for the suggestion.

I currently have 20,064,343,388 liquid bytes that will be sold (minus ~40% for taxes) and used to purchase steem.

I will update this post in the next couple days once the sell/buy has been completed.

Vote @nextgencrypto for Witness. :)

Why stop at Witness! @berniesanders 2020!!!

Forget about nuclear wars, a flag war with North Korea is where it's at!

We already did.

Still a lot of unused witness votes left. Having Witness Flags, that would be nice.

Is this byte stuff still running? Cause am eagerly waiting for my friend to reach rep 50 to refer her

I gotta get my airdrop, I have over 60 rep .... a free "tank of gas" worth of crypto aint bad at all... I would buy steem too

hahahhah "taxes" ;)

40 % that is a high tax bracket for capital gains.

taxes defeat the purpose of crypto

Lots of people, some with over 10,000 SP are claiming steem will hit $100 even $200 each..... you ever see that realistically happening?

No fucking way.

Sorry for hijacking this, but why? I'd love to hear it from you bernie.

Because there is nobody contributing to STEEM besides STINC. They're 100% in control of the fate of this blockchain at this point, and look at who is steering that ship.

I see your point. How about the almighty SMT's and the good-person token and whatever upcoming things are called?

Don't you think all of those things will push Steem to the moon?

I'm not saying that I do, because I don't. It feels like we're stuck right now, and have been for some time... But you never know what might happen in the future.

I'm not sure we'll ever see SMT's hit the light of day.

SMT is to STEEM as Lightning network is to Bitcoin... I'm probably going to die of old age before either of those projects actually come out...

19.594 GBYTE less 40% is 11.756 GBYTE. Dang you got some balls.

With half of your tax money, you can move to many decent country where nobody would look into referral tokens, no mather if they have a transactional value...

I cashed it in right away. Maybe it was a mistake in the sense that we are likely to not have hit bottom yet, but I'm sure you know that.

In truth, Steem at the current valuation is already tempting. So at bottom I suspect some big buys to jump in along with you. That could send us into a bullish run and it would be most welcome.

In all, I think you are playing the markets the smart way. I shall complain to @dj123 for not giving me the same advice (joke).

hahahahha

hey i already given you comedic AND brotherly (aka how to mess with any bacon brother, totally not talking about @pechichemena at all) advice alright, what else am I suppose to do man! 😄

give you dating counsel as well? 😛

send him another chick to get him into a weigh loss program @dj123... runs to avoid murder

hahahhaaha yes, of course!

so you are hopefull with STINC afterall???

That is a good idea.

Its a good idea, but i would wait a few extra days just to see what happens with the market and this "bullish" sentiment, although it might also be an opportunity to grab cheap Steem...

We haven't hit the bottom, yet.

I wouldn't be surprised if the floor for BTC is sub $3,500... I don't understand why the more the price rises the more I want to get in....FOMO is a real thing...I highly doubt this is my last chance to buy at these prices....lower days will come

This tweet kinda sums up the reason of the bull run:

Exactly my thoughts, thats why waiting a bit would be a smart idea lol, maybe convert it to tether if you don't believe bytes will go up since there's probably a lot of Steemians waiting to sell but i'm also sure a lot will be holding.

BNB feels like a good time to buy. Could be a temp hold in between byteball cooling off and picking up steem

at this point a lot of coins are good buys due to the infancy of the entire space

Dudes that is pretty awesome of you to vest more in SP

You dont have to pay taxes when you exchange bytes for BTC for Steem right? Am I missing something? Or is it just that youre going to use that money for taxes?:D Either way a positive decision for Steem I guess:)

Depends on the country, but in the U.S. referral rewards would be a taxable transaction upon receipt of the air drop referral reward. As Bytes has an established exchange value, the exchange price on the date of the referral award would be the taxable amount.

Then it's a taxable transaction when the bytes are converted to BTC, but the "cost" of the bytes is equal to the income recognized as a referral reward, so you don't get taxed on the Byte value twice.

Then assuming instantly the BTC is converted to Bytes, it's a third taxable transaction. However the value to "cost" should be almost $1 to $1, so any gain recognized is nil.

Assuming 100% of referral rewards are liquidated, taking 40% and paying it off the top as the author pointed out is a good proxy for covering the burden (better than paying zero).

(Not personal tax advice).

sucks to be an U.S. citizen i guess:)

Thats a pretty good chunk of change. Those all from referals? If so you knocked it out of the park. How much time do you think it took you to deal with all the byteball BS(pun intended).

It took quite a bit of time and patience when the bytes had to be sent for the referral and it wasn't even working. All from referrals.

no es facil jejejejeje

Awesome sauce!!! Some of mine paid for last years Steem Silver Round ;)

It is all yours, go get it Bernie. winks

Very good your idea to buy steem, in my case and change them.

The idea is very good, but it was too late for me, I already changed them. Thank you

good luck :D

Wow! A lot of amount byteball you have. Exchange in steem is a good idea. I also do this.

That's what I did too. :)

The byte balls has so much helped my career in raising finance for me to buy a new laptop for steeming and doing my graphics stuff as a graphics artiste. In celebration of this , I just started a contest on my blog where graphics worth of 50steem will be given freely to steemian without doing on special thanks. Byte has been so great. Cant wait to sell the remaining fractions in my wallet address and equally convert to steem and

POWER UP!

I sold the byteballs and bought steem, yeah I'm totally going to pay taxes on it too, LOL

.

I've been consolidating, and doing a little selling. Gotta be diversified!

.

Is everybody in, the show is about to begin...

Steem could crash and never recover... bagholders are leaving the platform... so maybe, yes...

I agree with @berniesanders in today's world of rapid release cycles, scrum, agile, dev-ops and all the rest of it, we get no updates, fixes and implementations of new use cases for steem...

What's new? SMT's? Market Makers and Takers? They talked about that a year ago...

1 month in crypto is 1 year in the real world... maybe those Stinc devs did not get the memo...

They talk the talk, but they don't walk the walk...

So hope for the best and die like the rest...

Right there with you... i've taken 200$ from this platform, to me this is profit, if shit hits the fan at least i took some profits out and I'm happy with it... the rest of my payouts i'm investing in STEEM and don't plan to take anymore out, if the ship sinks I still have other ships to go to

That’s a master plan wow @dj123 @berniesanders

GOOD NEWS, I WILL DO IT. THANKS FOR THAT INFORMATIONS, GREETINGS

hey man, that must've been a lot of referrals xD anyway want to know your thoughts on whaleshares and their upcoming platform?

God damn.. lots a ball

I'm just curious how much steem you'll be able to buy and what the value would be in USD.

Yea I don't think 10 dollars of whatever this coin is worth much in steem lol.

Why minus 40% tax?
Of that really is obliged in your country I would directly emigrate.

I love the touch of Tax you mentioned.

Hehe.

Last time Bernies wasn't this good 🤔

i smell a Steem bull run coming, > 46,000 Steemians (and counting) buying Steem ain't going to go unnoticed 😄

I upvote your post please upvote my post

I'm probably going to do the same... especially now that the market is above 8k and byteballs got a nice boost, maybe i'll tether them and buy a few weeks from now when the price drops, my only problem is using tether, i don't trust it very much

I really agree with you

@berniesanders
I would like it if you could help me with your link so I can get into byteball and you could get your referral byte. I hope you see this soon enough

#bytemyballs Lol your the only one with this #tag and I like it! I see what you did there sir!

Any real time use of this byteball balance?

Sir very nice your idea to buy steem am new user on steemit steemit is very good work i like it but my repution is very low i need repution

You didn't consider keeping the bytes?
The question might sound silly to you, but I would love to know your insight about it. Tnx
