Because there is nobody contributing to STEEM besides STINC. They're 100% in control of the fate of this blockchain at this point, and look at who is steering that ship.

SMT is to STEEM as Lightning network is to Bitcoin... I'm probably going to die of old age before either of those projects actually come out...
