Overnight the crypto market took a hammering with many coins suffering double digit drops. Steem was one of them. Obviously that is not great, but it did not drop many places overall. It has been down in the 70s for a while. I think it deserves to be at least top 30 based on actual usage, but the speculators determine that.

However, if you are a small Steem account (aka redfish) and you have some faith in the platform then this is your chance to boost your SP. You could currently get to minnow for about $140. I spend almost as much on our weekly food shop, but I appreciate that can be weeks of wages for others.
If Steem grows to many millions of users then most will not be able to have have hundreds of Steem and the price may shoot up. It is all a gamble. I have have earned most of my Steem, but have bought some.

Great offering - I was about to jump on it, then read further to the conditions, lol :-) but I do plan to get some more @steem at these prices anyway, as soon as I sell my kitchen sink, lol.
Thank you though for creating these incentives, it is steemians such as yourself which makes @steemit a great platform to be on. Just really wish we could get back up to where we belong.
There are so many more undeserving coins out there with inexplicable values. when steem is being used and somehow is battling at the bottom of the pool.

I didn't have much SBD, but for the low cost I converted most of it to Steem and powered up. Seemed like a good time instead of waiting till I had more to convert.

There are a few, but the one you may be thinking of has so little SP they do no damage, but people still get upset. I've been flagged by some big accounts. It's only money.
Or minnows to become Mike Delfino's! :P I'm keen to see how low we can limbo before I jump the gun just yet, recently bought some tokens on crypto.com called MCO because of another steemians bad influence and my yearning for passive income so lets see how that goes

Good luck with your path to dolphin. I've seen Steem good much lower before, but I just don't have spare cash to buy much. We will have to see how the crypto market moves next, but Steem deserves to do better.

That's right and it looks like you are close. I've been hoping to see the number of minnows grow, but more dolphins is great too. We need more people with the power to give good votes and spread the rewards.

I still have mixed feelings about buying votes and I have seen them support some people who buy a lot of votes. It seems to be an accepted part of Steem by many, but I choose to not play that game :)
I agree.... I set it so that they only use my Voting power when it is above 96%.... usually when I am sleeping .... or away from wifi for several days.... so it just maximizes the use of my Steem Power. I still Upvote Manually.
