Informative, fun and helpful. I think a lot of people know what needs to be done in order to gain a decent following on here, although don't really want to put the work in, so ask the question hoping there's some secret shortcut.
It is hard work. I don't do nearly as much as I should or could, and I know that's why I don't have much of a following. We see videos and blog posts uploaded by people such as yourself and other popular steemit producers and presume they just knocked it out, off the cuff, like it wasn't anything... but tons of work has gone into each and every one behind the scenes. Steemit definitely isn't a get rich quick kinda thing.
I appreciate the work that goes into all of yours, and other Steemians posts, and thank you all for the excellent content. STEEM ON!

Hey @allasyummyfood, you've got a nice tutorial made for all new members of our Community 😉 I'm here for a month now but still one of the small fish bit anyways whenever you put some effort into your account you'll receive some rewards soon. In my opinion many people who join are just looking to get rich quick and that's something this Community doesn't support.

No ladies pictures will not help, only good content and positive relation with other steemit community members, its like give and take, give respect to others in the form of upvotes for their good content and in return you will get upvotes followers and much more. @whd and @allasyummyfood
Especially when you are women on the picture, using the website where "majority of the platform are men" and you are using the red lipstick. If you want know more read about "red lipstick effect" in Journal of Personality and Social Psychology. I am not criticizing the current trend of showing up but I will criticize the lack of any afterthoughts.
I can wear whatever lipstick i want ! What i wear and what i do is my choice, you are not gonna tell me what i can or cannot do, you are making yourself look worse by making snide comments implying things.
As i wrote, no afterthoughts at all. And please show me where i wrote what you should wear? Now you are trying to rewrite psycholog and evolution once again. Good luck. Sure i will upvote an share your recipes. But not that one.

Nice tutorial. I am coming from the very bottom of Steemit. I have been guilty of the "vote for me and I vote for you" type of tactics. Well, I think we all have to start somewhere and however we can. The good thing is that I am an affiliate marketer and have managed to earn some bitcoin on various sites; Now I'm focusing on increasing my Steem Power. And this is my advice to other people, if at all possible, increase your Steem Power.
I'm currently working on the creation of a videogame, so I better kind of, err, get off Steemit for a while and get working. :)

Yes people are posting anything, also a lot are asking to vote them or follow, crazy, people are working very hard to make steemit better place and they just come with one post and want to be successful here, no way, every success will come with the hard work, and it's ok to make mistakes, but it's not to not correct them, I hope people will understand this and correct their mistkes like me correcting mine ☺

After a week on the platform I've already come across some people who just ask for a follow under your post without even giving you any feedback on what you've posted and I find that so rude. Some people forget that there there's a real person behind a profile putting a lot of effort into their articles. People who behave like that are wasting the chance of making a real connection with real (and amazing) people here. Well, I'm glad I got it and I'm happy to become a part of this amazing community ♥

I moved almost $3000 that I had on another Crypto currency to here in order to increase my voting power and help others and to grow so I can get to a place where I can really make a differnce in the community, that amount is not little to me right now as my business has been struggling because of Amazon and 2 franchise supplements store in my area have already gone out of business yet we are just a small shop and we are hanging in there. I believe 100% in this platform and that is why I invested both money and tons of time. I am not letting some lazy ass come on here and ruin it for every one working so hard to grow. 🙏🏼🙏🏼

I also find this platform so much easier to use than all others. I was always really good at talking to others in school lol. I actually got most talkative in my high school yearbook, but I am shy to strangers. I am not the kind of person to start a conversation waiting at the cashier line with some one I do not know at all. People at the gym would tell me once they met me that they thought I was stuck up because I never would talk to any one there. It was because I am shy to strangers. But I can talk for ever online telling a story or talking to some one I know in person I am a parrot lol. This is a perfect place where I can put all of my thoughts and experiences in a place to share with others and I feel super comfortable and easy to use. I get what you're saying, although it seems quite hard to go from zero to hero. I think the easiest and fastest way to getting known on steemit is if one of you're posts get resteemed by a whale.
yes its always easier if you get re seemed by a whale. I started from 0, and worked to where i am now. This isn't easy, its taken me a year. Nothing in life is easy!
Yupp, everyone starts from zero. Nothing worth having comes easy.
Commenting is best way to get noticed. I got lot of followers using this method. Thanks nice info.
It sounds simple, but I think as a minnow, it's easy to forget all the hard work that the more successful Steemians have put into it. It didn't happen overnight for most of them, and we shouldn't expect it to happen overnight for us. If it does, bonus!!

Good video, and I agree wholeheartedly with your comments...there seem to be quite a few new people who obviously think that they can just make a quick buck without much effort.
I've sometimes looked at their profile to see what exactly they are offering....and not surprised to find that they just resteem other steemian content and generally just beg for follows.
It's a shame. I love this platform because it is so removed from other social media sites. I like that there is a higher level of intelligence in members resulting in interesting input.
I just hope the "I follow you, you follow me" brigade either wises up or leaves.
yeah they dont offer much and its like they are doing the cheap follow me i follow back, rather than spending time and investing time in the platform!! :))
