I stumbled upon @grow-pro maybe a week or so ago from a resteem. He was giving away custom icons to the first however many people simply upvoted and commented which icon they wanted. I figured hell, why not? It would be a nice tag to add to the bottom of my post. The more I looked at the options though, the more I wanted all of them to mix it up. I asked him how many sbd he wanted and he was absolutely honored and thrilled I was interested. I have never seen someone so excited to be offered money for their work. His excitement immediately showed me how much he cared for his work and that I would not be disappointed. Boy was I not disappointed. He checked out my profile, exchanged a few messages on discord, told him I was a Virginia Tech graduate and he pretty much went wild and took care of the rest. I proudly present to you the icons, and a few gifs, that @grow-pro hooked me up with.

Sure, maybe including all of those was a little unnecessary, but I really wanted to show all of the different styles he can do. He even gave me different dimensions and file sizes so they would load faster. He thought of anything I might need with different variations and made sure I had it. He has a few other projects he is currently working on but was super responsive and helpful whenever I messaged him.
Not only does he do icons/gifs, but will also do your cover photo. I have not had him do one for me (yet) but if you check out his profile you can get an idea of what he is capable of. @sylviamiller is another example of a cover photo he put together. Lastly, @finnian is using a more basic version of his cover photos. For me, cover photos can be a real pain in the ass. I had one that looked great on my phone, and then total shit on my computer. He puts the time into making sure it works on all screen sizes.
There you have it, I could not be happier with everything @grow-pro put together for me. Sure, if you think it looks simple, then be my guest and do it yourself. If you're like me though, I did not want to put the time or effort into figuring out how to make them look good and be the correct dimensions/file size. He has not really released any official pricing for any of this, but I know the icons are very reasonably priced. Cover photos can get more expensive, but he has to put a lot of time into them to make sure they work on all devices. Give @grow-pro a follow, check out some of his work, and if you are interested in anything he will be more than happy to help!

My signature was actually very complicated and took him hours. He had to draw each frame of the flying bird as it flies across the image. That is not easy! haha I love his work, and he's very talented. His creations are well worth the investments!

That flying crow took some learning and tutorial watching! Most likely why I can do any animation at all now. It takes patience to map the wing patterns of a bird in flight and learn how to make an animation at the same time 😁

I am really glad you read that resteem man! Like I said in that post, that is the most powerful tool we have - here we are proving that! You really went beyond with this post and I really do appreciate that. Moreover, I am glad you enjoy my work. And believe me, not everyone is as much fun to work with as you were. You were offering to pay when most just try to take it. That's is what sets you apart from most. I've worked for companies in the US and a few all over the map. Not many times I can count where the client offered more than I requested. That's why I said it is a Virginia thing - I thought only @finnian did stuff like that 😆

I am doing normal overload again and I'm so used to the startup mentality : do the work, do enough of it and do it well, then if that is done right = I am rewarded. Unfortunately, artists generally don't get rewarded just for 'showing up' to work (like quite a few jobs I had where presence was apparently more valuable than production).

Absolutely, I'm not one to blow sunshine up someone's ass to get something out of them. That's just the way I've always been and brought up - don't take advantage of people, and be appreciative of what people do for you.

Yessir that's what I meant, I asked him about backgrounds and he said to check yours out for a more basic one. Definitely did not mean to make the gif look/sound easy, haha. Love em both, but especially the gif after knowing what all went into it!
Ahh, yeah. To each their own, but I like simple designs without a lot of bling. haha He knows me well too. Those forest backgrounds are PERFECT for me. I absolutely love them. A few were made, I like the one I am using the most.
Birch trees have a lot of significance to me too as a student of outdoor skills. You can eat the inner bark, you can drink the sap, the outter bark makes excellent kindling, and chaga grows on it (you can use it as char cloth and get an ember in it easily).
Nothing wrong with simplicity! But it still adds so much when someone clicks on your profile, especially no matter what screen size and it always looks good. Good first impressions are a must.
