We announced the new plan for the HUNT platform and largest-ever token airdrop for Steemians last week. Since we began the airdrop for Steem Power delegators for @steemhunt, we've already raised over 332K SP from 138 delegators. Thanks so much for your investment!

Over the last week, we’ve got so many questions about our airdrop, so we’d like to explain more details about the airdrop plan. You may wonder why the airdrop has so many categories. It’s because the HUNT token airdrop is designed to accelerate Steemians to participate in Steemhunt community.

HUNT Token Airdrop Manual

1. ERC20 to SMT Tokens

We will create ERC20-based HUNT tokens first, and use them as airdrops for Steemians. We will create our off-chain wallet interface on Steemhunt.com, and you will receive your all airdrop tokens there. You can transfer the tokens to your Ether wallet. SMT-based HUNT tokens are to be distributed in a 1:1 ratio to the ERC20 tokens held by Steemhunt off-chain wallet owners and registered Ether addresses (if the person already transferred to his or her Ether wallet at that point).

2. Total Airdrop Distributions - 250M out of 500M HUNT Tokens (50%)

250M airdrop consist of two categories: 1) 100M for SP holders and 2) 150M for Bounty Rewards.

2-1. 100M tokens for SP holders

• Steemit users who have Steem Power are eligible to have HUNT tokens with 1:1 ratio.
• The amount you can claim is based on your original SP regardless of your delegation.
• You MUST claim your tokens via Steemhunt.com by accessing your HUNT token wallet interface. You can click on the “claim” button.
• Wallet interface is under development. It will be launched in a few weeks. As soon as it is ready, we will announce it via @steemhunt account.
• This is based on a “first-come-first-get” system until all 100M tokens are claimed. But don’t worry because it is almost enough to cover the entire SP (there are 187M SP in total and 103M SP excluding Steemit Inc’s accounts, so this is almost a 1:1 ratio with the 100M HUNT tokens).
• If all 100M are not claimed until the launch of SMT tokens, the leftover tokens will be burned.

2-2. 150M tokens for bounty rewards for Steemhunt contributors

• We will run a bounty reward program that promotes the Steemhunt platform.
• The bounty program will run for a maximum of 500 days. We strongly believe that SMT will be ready within 500 days. If SMT is launched sooner than 500 days, the leftover tokens will also be burned.
• Every day 300,000 tokens (150M / 500 days) will be distributed in this category.
• The bounty program consists of four sub-categories: 1) Sponsors (30%), 2) Voting/Resteem (20%), 3) Referrals (30%), 4) Posting/Commenting/Moderation on Steemhunt (20%).
• All tokens that are not be distributed at the end will be burned.
  

2-2-1. Delegation Sponsors

• 90,000 tokens per day are distributed for the sponsors who delegate SP in @steemhunt.
• The token amount for an individual sponsor is based on his or her shares of the total delegated SP. For example, if there are three sponsors: A - 10000SP, B - 4000SP, and C - 2000SP, then their shares are 62.5%, 25%, and 12.5%. So, each person will gain 56,250, 22,500, and 11,250 HUNT tokens.
• Delegator’s tokens will be calculated every Monday when the sponsor report is published. When the delegator maintains his or her delegation at that time, the person is entitled to a full weeks worth of tokens. In the example above, person A will be assigned 393,750 (56,250*7) if A maintains the delegation at that time.
• Regardless of withdrawing the SP or changing the amount during the week, the shares and the weekly rewards are calculated only on Monday.
• The airdrop for sponsors began on May 21st, 2018, and the HUNT tokens are being reserved every week.
• All the reserved tokens will be listed when the wallet interface is ready.
  

2-2-2. Voting/Resteem

• 60,000 tokens per day will be distributed for people who upvote or resteem the hunter posts located under the “Today” tab on Steemhunt.com.
• 40,000 tokens are assigned for upvoters, and 20,000 for resteemers.
• For the upvoters, HUNT tokens will be assigned based on the share of the person’s upvoting value of the total hunter rewards of the day. For example, if today’s rewards for hunters on Steemhunt.com amounts to $100 in total, and you’ve upvoted 3 hunts with a value of $2, $3, and $5, then you’ve contributed 10% of the hunters rewards for that day, so you will get 4,000 HUNT tokens (40,000*10%).
• For the resteemers, HUNT tokens will be assigned 1/n for all participants. For example, if 10 people resteem the hunters posts. Then, each of them will gain 2,000 tokens (20,000/10). This is based on "person," not "post," which means you will be counted as "1 person" even if you have resteemed multiple posts today.
• You can only receive tokens for the posts in the “Today” section. This means that you can’t get tokens by upvoting or resteeming yesterday’s posts. You can also receive tokens when you upvote or resteem the post via Steemit or another 3rd party, but only when the posts are in the "Today" section on Steemhunt.com.
• Accounts from Bid Bots are not eligible to receive airdrop tokens. This is the list of Bid Bots that we will exclude - https://github.com/Steemhunt/api/blob/master/db/bid_bot_ids.json.
• This airdrop will begin as soon as the wallet interface is ready.
  

2-2-3. Referrals

• 90,000 tokens per day are distributed for people who refer Steemhunt to others.
• When the referral interface is ready, all hunters will be able to create their own referral link. If a new person connects to Steemhunt.com via the referral link, both will gain HUNT tokens.
• 90,000 tokens will be assigned by 1/n with a maximum cap of 5,000 per person. For example, if 10 new hunters joined via the referral links today, then, each person (the referrers and referees) would gain 4,500 tokens (90,000/20). If only 3 new hunters joined today via the links, then each of the 6 people would gain 5,000 each.
• This airdrop will begin after the referral interface is ready.
  

2-2-4. Posting/Commenting/Moderations

• 60,000 tokens per day are assigned for the hunters who received @steemhunt’s upvoting.
• The @steemhunt account upvotes each item in three categories - approved posts, review comments (pros and cons comments), and moderator comments - everyday after midnight.
• @steemhunt allocates its voting power (VP) in the following ways; 80% for the posts, 10% for the review comments, and 10% for the moderator comments. So 48,000, 6,000, and 6,000 HUNT tokens are assigned for each section.
• Your HUNT tokens will be based on the final voting power from @steemhunt. For example, if your hunting post is upvoted by @steemhunt with 20% voting power, you may get approximately 880~890 tokens (Daily total vp pool is approximately 1080%, so the calculation is (20/1080)*48000 = 888.88…).
• @steemhunt upvotes the items 5 mins past midnight KST (Korean Standard Time Zone), and the HUNT tokens will also be assigned.
• This airdrop will begin after all the other aforementioned bounty programs are initiated.
  

3-1. Wallet Interface

• Steemhunt wallet will be added to Steemhunt.com (You will see this under the “My Profile” tab).
• You will see your total accumulated HUNT tokens balance and the detailed transactions.
• You can send the tokens to your own Ether wallet. The minimum transfer amount is 10,000 HUNT tokens.

3-2. Airdrop Schedules

• Sponsor’s tokens (2-2-1) have already been reserved since last week.
• Voting/Resteem (2-2-2) will be ready next week.
• Referrals (2-2-3) and Posting/Commenting/Moderation (2-2-4) will be ready by the end of July, 2018.

3-3. Others

• You can participate in multiple categories. For example, if you delegate SP on @steemhunt, you can receive both SP holder tokens (2-1) and Sponsor tokens (2-2-1).
• All airdrop tokens that are not distributed before the SMT tokens are ready will be burned.
• If SMT is excessively delayed or cancelled, we will remain in the Ethereum platform, or move to alternative platforms such as EOS. If we move to another platform, the ERC20 tokens can be swapped there.

Weekly Sponsor Rewards

Here are the week’s STEEM rewards and HUNT tokens reserved for sponsors (the STEEM rewards have already been sent to sponsors from @steemhunt.pay). This week’s STEEM amount has being transferred from the previous week. The hunters rewards have dramatically increased this week, and this will be reflected in your STEEM rewards next week. 90,000 HUNT tokens per day are reserved for the sponsors, which amounts to 630,000 tokens per week.

Most of you are a fools, you send sp to them and they promise to pay u back by airdroping their token, but if their token dont worth anything what do u get out of it? Sound like bitconnect, take ur sp and run, there are no oversight of them.

You think pretty conservative about this project. Why do you think that the same couldn't happen to your Steempower? Why shouldn't that be worth overnight 0$? There is also no oversight over Steem Blockchain and only a few Developers. The whole crypto space is one big gamble and risk-taking and this project is actually useable right now which most projects are not.

Sounds like any crypto or ICO to me. Of course there is no guaranteed profit. You just got to invest into the cryptos you think will do good, and stay away from the others. Some might end up being worth a lot, others might not.

1. upvoting, resteeming bounty program will start in several days (maybe in next week).
2. posting, commenting and referral bounty program will start in July (we lowered the priority for this because we need to fix our ranking algorithm first before we get a lot more users)

ETH address is NOT required. You can optionally withdraw your tokens to your ETH wallets, but we will offer an off-chain wallet for every Steem user.

I must admit it’s a little frustating the referral program is only going to be ready two months from now.
If I see how quickly his is growing, it’s not going to be easy to find people who are not involved yet at that time....
After making a couple contributions today, I was thinking about writing about it to get people on board. Then I thought I should wait till the referral program would be set up, but postponing it that long is simply impossible.

(Affiliate marketig is one of the few things I’m good at, lol, so that’s why I had set my hopes on that)

Anyway, I think you really got something here, and I can’t wait for it to go full power! ;0)

I really like your organized approach in regards to the Token distribution. I'm just wondering why the most important part (posting, commenting and voting) is not supported from the beginning? Because that is the engagement and activity that your platform needs. There should be first more people who are willing to contribute than people just sending their SP-Power. My question is will you distribute tokens to Hunters who are already posting on your Site? Which means will you re-calculate all the existing posts for token distribution?

At the moment, as we have received over 330K delegations from our sponsors, we actually have too many postings and commenting on our platform, and many of them are just trying to get up-votings instead of really trying to produce a valuable content.
Users use bid bots to try to get higher ranks just to get higher votings from our bot.

It wasn't a big problem when we only had a low SP (a week ago), but it became the biggest problem now. We had to fix the problem before we scale the community more.

We're working on "Account Based Voting (ABV)" system at the moment, to make the curation quality better and we put the token bounty of "votings, resteem" contributions in a higher priority because we need more votings from community members (not from just random bots) in order to make ABV functions properly.

I hope I explained whey those "scaling the community" is kind of lower in our priority atm.

Token distribution for each category will start from whenever we launched the category (voting and resteem distribution will start soon, and others next), and there'll be no re-calculation. Left over tokens will be just burned, so yes the total proportion can be little bit different by our launching time.

Thanks for your responds and I totally can see your points, but that is what I was trying to say. If you first collect all the Steempower from Investors and your Votingbot becomes very big that is the thing when people will fight for the upvotes "rewards". So my conclusion would have been to first build up the user who provide good content and than let the investors delegate their Steempower.
Now you have choosen the opposite way and good content from users with low economic value haven't got a chance to get rewarded and the SP-Investors are not willing to take action or to submit their own content to Steemhunter. It seems to me that you have choosen the wrong priorities...first comes content and users than the investors should get their stake!

Yes I guess it could've better if we implemented ABV first and started HUNT token distribution on votings categories before we even scaled up to this point.. (before we started delegation sponsors).

We just didn't expect this much SP delegations before, and the problem just started happen after our voting power became very high (We had a decent community members and curation quality when our community was small). I'm not sure how things would've been if we started HUNT distributions for postings / commenting categories first.. maybe there could be less problems like what you said, but people could've been still abusing the system to get more HUNT tokens..

Yes, thanks for your thoughtful response and I really do understand your situation where you at right now. I think the voting bot situation is a general problem within Steemit and there are reasons why these Bots are good and not so good. I hope you will find a good solution for your platform (maybe when SMT is ready than moderators could enforce "anti-Bot-rules") till than I wish you all the best with Steemhunters.
