Luan woke up and all he could think of were the horses he saw. They are such wonderful beautiful animals. He would love to learn to ride a horse, but he knows that one of these days his mother will want more rest and then the baby will keep her busy.
It was very important to him to keep her safe and restful like his dad told him. He got up and went to the kitchen to have breakfast with the family.
Luan’s mother was smiling and told him to sit, her and his dad decided that he could do this, it was not very far from where they lived, and his grandparents had a surprise for him.
Oh what is it; you have already helped me get into the riding school.
We are going into town and buying you a bicycle, it is near enough so when your mother does not feel too well you can go on your bike and you will get some very good exercise as well.
He could not believe his ears, as everyone was so good to him. He was the happiest little boy on earth. His parents told him he was such a good child and that is why everyone is so good to him.
He was always friendly to everyone and he never got into trouble at school. He always did his homework and all the teachers loved him.
When children are good and helpful, they always get the same back from other people. Life worked like that.
What you give is what you get his grandfather said. Luan could not finish his breakfast fast enough and clean his room so that they could go and try and find a bicycle for him.
They all left together mother came along as she wanted to see his face once he found the right bike.
There was a shop in town that only sold bicycles and they knew they would find one there. They stopped and walked into the shop. His grandfather said we are looking for a bike that will make me get some exercise.
The salesman laughed and said do you really want to take a chance on riding a bike at your age. They all laughed and said no actually we are looking for a bike for our grandson. It must be nice and he must be able to put a bag on it as he is going horse riding, he will need to put the bag somewhere with his helmet and riding gear.
Oh laughed the salesman, I am glad you were joking as I was worried you might fall. No that was just a little joke. They started looking around at the size they needed and Luan could not believe all the things that were in the shop. He did not know that there can be so many gadgets and things going onto a bike.
After finding what they were looking for they left and grandpa said, do you not all think we should have a waffle so we can make this a good thing to remember?
Luan’s grandmother smiled at him and said I do not think one waffle will be too bad let’s go.
They went to the waffle house and Luan just smiled at his grandfather. He just hoped that nobody remembered them from the previous time. They had waffles and milkshakes and grandma said that will do for at least the next 6 months.
You should really have that sweet tooth pulled. They all laughed and went home.
Luan could not wait to ride his bike and when his father came home he was very surprised. Oh father it was a gift from grandma and grandpa for me to be able to go to the horse riding school so mother does not have to take me.
She can then rest in the time I am gone just like you said. What a wonderful idea they had I am so pleased for you. Maybe you can go and buy some things your mother need at the shop and she can get more rest.
The next day his grandparents had to go home and he felt sad, but he was also happy as so many things have happened since they came to visit.

Very nice reading. This could be a children/youth book the way yoy are describing thing. I would sort of engourage you to wirte without the pictures just to see how that works out. But i guess there ia difficult to post thing without pictures when you want response.

There was a time when horses were free but bicycles were like pricey but now its like everyone has l bicycles but now we cant afford horses. Life has changed so much but love the way you have stressed upon grandparents. Almost all kids get this cycle gifted by their Grandparents. Give them love and respect
