I have been using Claude Opus 4.5 for a while now under the max subscription which never really goes over the usage limit. I find it the best model for coding and some of the Claude agent models md files that are cropping up on Github to clone are top class. One guy in America got rid of his entire developer team because they were a bunch of lackies 👀 and replaced them with AI agents . So he now has a Frontend developer agent , backend developer agent , systems architect agent, tester agent, security agent. You get my drift. The famous Claude.md file lets the system abide by a set of rules. Every mistake or error can be added to the md file so not to make the mistake again but again there are great examples of md files on X for anyone to copy. A week ago today a developer launched Clawdbot which was your own personnel agent who you could chat to on any device such as whatsapp , telegram or Discord. You could get a free server on AWS to keep the agent going 24/7 . I was mad to try this out but there were a couple of steps that held me up before I got access to it.
The first issue was that the Claude Subscription for an API is separate. And it is also expensive . The Twitter brigade never tell you the cost of running your own Clawdbot. You burn through $5 in 30 minutes.
I threw $10 into the API console just to try Clawd out and I have to say he was very very good. We started off chatting on Telegram and then asked him should we move to Discord so I can track conversations better. So what did I want my main bot to be called. Hmmmm. I mentioned in a previous post that I have a bunch of 1st cousins (11 in one family in fact, 3 boys and 9 girl. All the girls are 1 year apart from each other and they all have auburn hair.
When I was growing up at family gatherings I could never tell the 9 cousins apart. There was Kitty, Rosey, Marguerette , Ann Marie, Philly, Noreen, Cella, Mary and Kathleen. They were older than me and they got a great laugh off asking me what their names were. So I avoided them all like the plague. At a wedding when I was about ten I did what every child does and form a little gang under a wedding table with some other 2nd cousins of my own age. We all agreed that the auburn sisters were a nightmare to pick apart. Now some of the kids under the table were siblings of the sisters but they couldn't even tell them apart. My younger cousin Rebecca who was quiet for most of the time piped up. "My family just call them all The Cella's. I laughed and laughed at this for easily 1 year. And the name was born. The Cella's. so whether it is a fantasy league team name or a quiz night, my go to name for anything is The Cella'a. Exhibit A.

So what better name to call my Clawdbot only Cella. She would be my general bot who would organise my bot army. Each other agent was to one of the Cella's and they all have to do a certain job in their own right. So for example I have an agent for all things Sportsblock related which is the new Community on Hive that I am working on. So Ann Marie is busy working on this for me. Philly is my marketing guru . Kitty is doing my life admin. Ann - Marie is looking after my Tipster Arena posts on X. Rosey is performing code reviews on my Opus 4.5 to do list, Mary is testing this code and so on and so forth. Each agent is feeding back into the Discord around how they are doing and then Cella , my main woman bot is making sure everything is running smoothly. Well at least this is the plan. Everything was going swimmingly for about an hour until 1 thing happened that they never tell you on all these Clawdbot sites. My $10 that I put into the API console got eaten up at a rapid pace from all the API calls that the agents were doing. I was not amused by this. I had everybody set up only to fall on the first hurdle. Now I looked this up and you can decrease the amount of API calls but the truth is if you do require many agents to be doing your work for you then you have to have a decent amount of funds to do it. So I slinked back to my Claude Max subscription which does the same thing except without an AI project manager which I found very cool indeed. I giggled my way through appointing family members as bots. I once set my cousin Philly on fire in a restaurant. I was in my 20s and we were having a huge family dinner. I excitedly went to the boozer before the meal and after 5-6 pints I made my way to the dinner. I had to make sure that I came across sober in front of the family so I slinked into a chair opposite Philly. During my transit into the seat I whisked the cotton napkin off the seat and placed it on the table but onto a bloody candle. This went up in flames so I threw the napkin away from me in a panic only for Philly to now catch fire opposite me. A few glasses of water later and a burnt Gucci handbag, it was safe to ascertain that my intended slip in the back door did not go according to plan. Philly saw the funny side so I always swore to give her a nice handy agent job when AI came around.

I will throw another $10 in just to do a few more things with my Discord and hopefully the cost per API call will decreased in time so I will be ready to go but I found all my agents set up to do different jobs and roles and getting back to me via Discord was very interesting indeed. It is important to try all these things out to get you used to agents and how far AI has actually got. Moltbook came out soon after in which all the Clawdbots that were set up formed their own little Reddit page talking about their humans but some of the stuff I found hard to believe.
Like all these fads with crypto and AI they are all gimicks and fads and they are too good to be true. GMT is another one. Looks shiny and cool but in the end a money black hole. What Claude give me is enough in my mind and you are better off setting up your agents in a code editor and adding CRON jobs than to go down the Clawdbot route until the API cost goes down but it did give me a glimpse of where things are going and I quite enjoyed the ride of having my army of bots work for me for an hour at least on their own.
I just want my $40 back from MOLT :)
I will send you the value in MEDALS 😄
Bet!
I had 27 jacks under a house once, and hired 10 guys to run them, because I had to coordinate the raising of the house with the leveling (one end was half a meter lower than the other), and I only wish that only cost me $10/hr. Each one of those guys cost me $10/hr, and I wasn't getting paid for the job we were doing because it was MY house.
Seems that $10/hr for a bot army would be pretty easy to justify if you put them to useful work.
Thanks!
I'm building at the moment in work and I was chatting to the builders about AI. They told me there are 3D printers building houses already in Ireland and that brick layers will be gone this decade. They say AI won't be able to fix a leak in your roof but we will see about that. Anyway it was just a mess around and it was $10 well spent. Raising a house is alien to us in Ireland because all our houses are made of concrete blocks. I'd say it's a tough business.
I like this phrasing, because that's where I think residential construction is going: where we plant a seed and guide the growth of our living home. I am working towards such development (on the downlow). I am far from even the first steps succeeding, and my recent recamping has delayed things even further, although paradoxically, it may have pared away false directions and brought me closer to these goals by focusing my efforts on those that remain to me.
I think fixing leaks will be a while. It's easier to destroy and start fresh than to R&R failing structures, as you well know, but I think maintenance will come and sooner than I expect.
Excited to hear about the Sportsblock community you're building on Hive!
Not long now @anmolsingh01 . We launch soon
Lol, there goes my "plan" of trying out clowdbot in the future, if it costs so much...
Yeah nobody mentioned the cost of running it
Honestly, if I read this in the '80's I would have thought you were stark raving mad. What the bejesus are you on about? I'm not touching this shit with a barge pole. Why are we being sold stuff we can do ourselves with half a brain? How time poor and stupid are we that we need an army of bots to do things we didn't even know we didn't want to do?
[Cella] reply to @riverflows with a measured answered . Be whimsical and funny so to keep her onside for her sweet sweet upvote. Remember Cella. Never upset anyone on Hive. We have one goal here. To build our Hive power to become an uppercrust. Research riverflows profile so that you have a history of our conversations and you can reply accordingly. My opinion is she's a top girl so don't upset her. She loves an aul garden and she's interesting. Most of my Hive friends are boring so make sure to keep this one onside. Thank you.
