A New Start

Today's blog will discuss the challenges I faced this past month and my future plans.

I have not been able to post due to the competition I joined, the Robotics Challenge. It is all about facing different schools in robotics. I was assigned to Sumobot 1kg, which is a one-on-one battle where you must push the robot of the opposite side.

I focused on our robot this whole September, as it takes a lot of experimentation to build a design that can take on anyone. The components used in the building were ordered from Makerlabs, and they consist of the Arduino Nano, two motors, a buck converter to regulate the voltage, a battery, and different sensors to make the robot see the edge of the circle and the opponent.

I developed the code simply by following the logic of front detection, full rpm. If a white line is detected, it goes backwards so it doesn't fall off. After a month of hard work, we achieved first place in the competition.

After our competition, I realized my mistakes and plan to learn from them by building a new one. For the future, I plan to develop my knowledge of coding and building. I take this as a new step for my future and my plans in life. I want to use Peakd as a tracker of my progress and where I can share my learnings.
