Seeing Clearly

“Your mind is like the water, my friend; when it is agitated it becomes difficult to see. But if you allow it to settle, the answer becomes clear.” -Master Oogway

Hello guys! I just want to share this wonderful quote from my favourite show. Here are my thoughts on it:

A few months ago, the stress, work, life, responsibilities had made my mind look like a murky pond. I was not able to think outside what I wanted to do.Most of the things I wanted to do were usually poorly executed. I was ill tempered, I was resentful, I was hurt.

But that changed when I started being at peace with me. Being at peace, meaning, accepting that I do not need to win all the time, that I cannot control any situation, that I am not an all knowing, omnicient being. Most of all, I have to accept the part that not everyone would really like or advocate for me. That there are always those who would like to get me probably because they could, they're jealous or they simply wanted to advance their own interests. The things that give me joy, pride and self worth are usually destroyed by these soulless creatures.

This is not a solution fits all type of thing but, I started praying. I started reflecting, being honest, being accountable to my actions. I did not so much focus on the shame, disappointment or frustration. Rather more on how I would have done it differently and finding ways on doing it better.

As a result, I was able to see how things are clearly. I started feeling more at ease, in control, happy.

As the Master Oogway from Kung fu Panda put it, I would not be able to see the bottom of the pond if I do not allow things to settle down. I think that's what exactly what I did. I am still struggling, fighting the day to day battle of life. But, being able to find peace, calm and reason makes a whole lot difference on how things are going and what the result are going to be.

thanks too for curating my post!

@nurseanne84...

You are most welcome! It has been quite some time since I have had a chance to chat with you. I was tickled to see you had used our thoughtfuldailypost tag! Reading your words takes me down my own "memory lane" if you will. That saying, "You can't please everyone" is so true. But after the dust settles... we realize we aren't trying to please anyone. We are just trying to find our way to make it through each day... right? I am glad our paths crossed... it seems like you had a great deal of "life" trying to get your head spinning. But you know what? You sure climbed your way through the muck... you should be proud!

"As a result, I was able to see how things are clearly. I started feeling more at ease, in control, happy."

Keep focusing on this... you are a great person... talented too! I hope you have a decent weekend, my friend... Love and light.
