Hey Steemians
I'm sure that a lot of you are promoting Steemit to your friends and family and telling them all the good things. But when they sign-up they are faced with the dreadful wait of getting their accounts. Sometimes it comes very fast .. but there are times where we have friends who waiting for WEEKS and it still have not come yet.
Then all the hype and the time we took to get one guy to join steemit just got wasted as literally we can't do anything ! Well ... that was before STEEMINVITE.COM
What Is STEEMINVITE.COM
Its a tool created by @pharasim which almost anyone is able to create new accounts. The only requirements is that the steemian creating the account for their friend must have some SteemPower which can be delegated to the new account. At least 15 SP is required to delegate ... yes you can take it back but give your friend a chance to get some power before you do that ya.
REQUIREMENTS :-
- 0.1 STEEM to pay for the creation of the account
- 15 STEEM POWER to delegate to the new account
HOW DO I USE IT ?
Head over to STEEMINVITE.COM and login your posting key
JUST CLICK "INVITE SOMEONE NOW" you will then see the screen below.
There are 3 main fields you need to fill. The rest should just be left at default. Let me quickly explain it
LABEL : The name of the new account you want to create
SEND EMAIL ADDRESSS : The person you wanna invite
EMAIL FOR STATUS UPDATES : Your email address
Once you click CREATE INVITATION your friend will receive an email with a link. And if would look something like the picture below once they click on the link . Ask them to just follow instruction and COPY THE ALL THE KEYS DOWN especially the OWNER KEY
Once that is done, you will then get an email notification that the account has been created thru your email. You then need to go back into steeminvite.com and now click the button CREATE ACCOUNT .
Your POSTING KEY is required to create the account and then once its done, the use can then login.
WHAT NEXT ?????
Ask the user to login using the OWNER KEY and regenerate a new PASSWORD . Copy the new MASTER KEY and safe it in a safe place.
LOGIN once more with the MASTER KEY to make sure its correct and then get the POSTING KEY and ACTIVE KEY which they can use it for all their future logins.
SUMMARY
I do suggest that they just go thru the normal process of signing up, however this tool is great for creating new accounts and also for those "instant accounts" which you really want to help someone.
Hope this simple tutorial is easy enough for you to give it a try. Make sure you have enough SP to spare before going crazy creating a lot of new accounts. Have a great day ahead.
This is amazing! One of the main issues is the speed in which users can sign up. This will surely bring more and more people at a rapid rate then the traditional way! cheers bro .. it saved me a ton of headache when trying to get someone who you really know will benefit from it and after getting them all hyped up ... the dreaded wait for the account. So far i know 1 guy who waited over a month before getting the password. I do hope this get fixed
I know what you mean. So much enthusiasm and hype is zapped due to the wait time. Its like refusing to create a bigger door for your customers even though you know there is a huge line. Steemit isn't selling a one off limited run product, the platform and everybody on it will benefit from mass adoption and to do that, we need more people on it in a more speedy manner. This might not be the permanent solution but it certainly helps bring on the people we can definitely vouch for! Cheers to that mate!

Its very useful to have tools like this when we need to instantly create an account for someone. I think the account creation process should be a little bit faster because when it lasts 7 days some people might even forget they opened an account here
Exactly ! People are not used to the fact that they have to wait so long to get their passwords

Yea man .. I created 2 accounts so far .. it was done in the matter of minutes. Really convenient and it only cost 0.1 steem with 15sp delegation which you can pull back once the account is stable

Had a friend waiting for over a month, decided to try this after reading about it, voila! he has his account!.
Great tool to do invites!, I have another friend his acc has been aproved sooner, but he messed it up with the password. he need time and i for me to help him out and see if the acc can be restored/recovered, i do not have more sp to delegate for another acc :)
to add you need put the active key to create the account after the invite has been confirmed, not posting key as it was menioned in the post :)
