Late last night, as I was prepping some copies of our new book for shipment, I once again had to marvel at the things in my life that are now happening. Interestingly enough, a lot of them are due to steemit.
THANKS FOR MAKING IT POSSIBLE
When I came online in 2016 due to the draw of steemit, it was really my introduction to online activities. Since then, a wide variety of skills have been gained, and a number of activities that I previously hadn't engaged in. Because I prefer to invest time rather than spend or waste it, it was the possibility of earning something for my online activities that steemit offered that was the encouragement I needed to get onlne, and a lot of my activities are geared towards lightening the financial load of our family.
Yesterday, we released this video, where Pinkie-Pepper and I talk about a book that we just released. The crazy thing is that we uploaded it to our YouTube channel, which we only started to share videos on steemit. Also, because of the steemt community, we started up a Homesteader's Co-op store this year, so besides offering the book for sale on amazon, we can sell copies direct from home through the Homesteader's Co-op store too.
A lot of the skills needed to put this book together I only have because of the effort I've put into learning new things to apply to my steemit posts over the years. Also, even the "Special Delivery - Papa Pepper" logo that I like to put on my outgoing mail was a gift from another steemian, @doctorcrypto.
Anyway, I came to steemit to try to find a way to earn something for my online efforts. Because of steemit, I started our YouTube channel, which is a way that we now earn something each month. Moreover, because of steemit, we now have a Homesteader's Co-op store, because @sagescrub and others made it possible, where we earn something. Also, we are releasing books which earn us something too, so I wanted to express my gratitude to the steemit platform and the community.
It feels great to get a book in print, and to see people order it too. It's so cool to autpgraph some and mail them out ourselves. and to have so many people encouraging us. THANKS EVERYONE!
