Like an 8 year old boy on Christmas morning, my face was uh grinning when my good buddy Patrick (@pjmetz) asked me if I wanted to join him on his last fishing venture of his 6 months stay down here in Nayarit, Mexico. It took me all of a millisecond to nod my head and say YUP!
He is up in Punta de Mita, and I am down in Bucerias, but we met at the marina in La Cruz where his boat, BADA BING (named after his uncle, Bing) is kept.
Let's do itttttt!
4 days later we got to it, and man was it one for the story books.
This vid was a lot of fun to make, and definitely meant more to me than most.

Dude, it was a work out! Didn't help that the reel was left handed though. My left arm is only good at balancing out the rest of my body, other than that it's pretty much just there for looks, lol.
That looked like a ball. From the water to the dock to the frying pan, it doesn.t get any fresher than that.
It sure looks like EVERYTHING is working out fantastic, besides the bar you seem to have made some friends along the way. That doesn't surprise me, you're on heck of a good guy.
Imagine that, you go out fishing in some of the prettiest water I have ever seen, catch fish and then bring them back to YOUR Bar and Your Chef cooks them up for you and the family. I wonder if you ever thought that the BIG MOVE would work out so wonderful.

It was a little fresher the last time we went out when Patrick filleted a fish on the boat and made ceviche right then and there. But this was still pretty fresh, lol.

The Jacks aren’t the best for eating. I mean, they’re edible of course, but being that they are a bit predatory fish, they have a lot of muscle which isn’t what you want.
The other fish were Sierra, or Spotted Maceral. Much more soft and tender meat, and delicious I might add ;)
That first one was a FIGHT! A lot of fun for sure.

Hey brother, such a magical day on the water. First off, I want to thank you for your time, I couldnt imagine a better co captain on the last trip of the season. Secondly, having your energy out there reminded me of why I strive to share fishing with people, most just want that picture for insta, but when someone hooks up a fish and instantly gets those 12 year old giddys...priceless. I had so much fun with you as always. Battered fish gets my seal of approval and the ceviche also looked delicious. Looking forward to the next time amigo, until then...tight lines!
I'm a 12 year old any time I lock on with a fish. "What could it be? Will it put up a big fight? Will I lose it? Is it a trophy fish?" All the unknowns make it a lot of fun for me, F insta, lol, not what I go out for.
