'Hats Off!'

crta.png

The very old craft of hat making is still alive today. Even though its golden age is long gone, people still like to wear a hat from time to time. Of course, it cannot be compared to the times when it was unthinkable for respected men to walk the street without one.

Fashions change faster than seasons. What was trendy a few months back is already forgotten only to be replaced with something just as transient. The fashion world is like a dictatorial country where people mindlessly obey.

I sometimes wonder if people who keenly follow trends are lost souls caught in the nets of some grand business scheme and simply cannot understand that they are being used for someone else's benefit.

Therefore, I love to see that the old crafts strive. They are free from the burden of being fashionable and fall into the category of classics. In that one, items are glorified for their age and meaning, not for being trendy.

Hats off to the skilled craftsmen who keep those old crafts alive. Too bad I cannot wear one. My motorcycle helmet already takes that spot. :D

Enjoy your day!

Hats are reasonably popular around here, because the sun will poach your egg if you are too exposed too long. But the type you are showing are only seen once in a while. I have a couple of friends that wear cowboy style hats.

Like you, my helmet takes that place, though I do always have a 'bush hat' in my saddle bags for when I am off more than a few minutes. I learned that lesson in SE Utah when I was there for a weekend. I was shaving my head then and my whole head peeled multiple times. Not a good look.

I really do enjoy craftsmen and the tools of their trade. Thanks for giving me such a good look.

My hats are associated with the headgear worn by gentlemen and gangsters :) But I think that this is a practical headdress which performs at once 2 roles. First of all, this is an echonic form, and in the second one is a head protection. I believe that the hats belong to the classic immortal style.
Fashion has really changed a lot. Now we see that every year the trend is changing. Many people, especially the young, tend to follow fashion and be popular. The younger generation are the main engines of the fashionable style. That is, if you do not dress fashionably - then you're a loser. But what is meant by fashionable clothes. Adult people often ignore the general trent and dress what they like. That is, what for one person seems beautiful, for another will cause unpleasant feelings.
Fashion is something that we are imposed. No more. If tomorrow people are told that it's fashionable to wear pink shorts, then tomorrow people will run to buy pink shorts. If they say that pink shorts are now not fashionable, but fashionably blue pants, then everyone will start wearing blue pants. But this is just an example. It brings profit.
I'm a supporter of classics. Indeed, the classical style is immortal.
I liked the process of creating hats. Interesting message, thanks for sharing.

Very beautiful about old Craft hats, yes you are right, Fashion of these old craft hats has gone a while but still, there are people who like to wear these old hats. I'm 100 agree with you that fashion changes fast then the season, the things or fashion that were trendy even week ago, are not even known by the people of the town. yes, there is some old craftsman who is kept alive this old art of making these old caps. I remember My uncle always who is no more, he used to wear the cap all the time and for that, we named him as CAPTAIN. There are my another uncle who always wear hats, where ever he is going, however, is the weather, he never ever go out with the cap. hahaha, we know you have a helmet but you can buy one for you for casual use. I pretty sure it will suit you @velimir. Thank you so much for sharing this information about old crafted hats :) You are a champion :)

In addition to necklaces and bracelets, hats are the most popular type. Both for women and men, this is a supporting tool that can also protect yourself. How not, when the weather outside is hot-hot, this little round can be used for Protector heads of sweat and dust that damage the head. Show style with a hat that can not be used again in this era of rapidly growing fashion development. Stay tailored to your needs and taste, this is better with a hat for the women.

Certainly the fashion happens very fast and seeing people from before wearing hats made them look very smart and smart as ingenious, very good post, it is also sad to see how things happen overnight

Things change so rapidly especially when it comes to fashion...

When I see some of my old pictures and see the way I dressed, mehhn! Things has really changed... Lol

Though, we revolve round the same thing, we are only trying to make it look a little better.

Excelente esposicion de sombreros todavía hay personas que los usan, me recordaste a mi abuelo, Nunca le faltaba un sombreo, se heia hermoso mi viejo Antonio Piedra como le decia yo. Gracias por tu pubblicacion my buena.

Hola @velimir

Jeje. Hermoso post, gracias por compartir @velimir.
