Please read this post to get a gist about what SteemGigs is.
Basically, it is a freelancing marketplace built on the steem blockchain but one with a different paradigm from the conventional as on SteemGigs, "everyone has something to offer".
After reading the post above and understanding the "human" element to it, kindly look at this screenshot below to get a feel of SteemGigs.
You can also look at Fiverr, Upwork, Freelancer for a general feel of what a freelancing marketplace looks like.
Note though, that SteemGigs has an #untalented paradigm to it to where, we celebrate all levels of talent and potential talent and reward even attempts at out-of-the-boxness, thus, you may want to consider this in your logo design.
The general theme that should ring all through this logo should be:
Everyone has something to offer!
This logo will have to highlight this special paradigm** (our edge)** as well the legacy we are trying to create.
If you want, you can integrate the steem logo playfully into your creation and you can add the word "SteemGigs" into the mix, highlighting the words "Steem" and "Gigs"

I will leave you to feel free in applying your own creativity as with SteemGigs, there is room for flaws; so relegate all reservations and tap into some out-of-the-boxness.

You can look at Fiverr, Upwork, Freelancer etc to get a glimpse into what a freelancer market place is. However, since SteemGigs is on a decentralized blockchain, you may want to integrate "decentralization" into your design.

This is really painful especially when you know have something to offer but can't access. Have been trying to login to busy.org, utopia-io even dtube but is always rejecting my password. Have use all the pass key. From owner key to main active bit the response i always get is INVALID PASSWORD OR WRONG USERNAME. Which is not correct. I wish someone can help me out.
Have even tried on both Laptop, desktop and even on my phone.
All the same i will try and particpate then get my entry across.

It is suppose to work. That is surprising really. May be try another browser. Clear cookies. Or try browser in incognito mode. On pc utopian has a live chat area. Try talk to someone there. @afterglow is on there

Difficult with access utopia-io and other steemit complimenting like busy.org.

Anytime i use the any of the password keys am always getting a msg that says "invalid password or username". Have used all the password including my active password but the response has always been the same.

Sorry for the late reply. I did not noticed your message on discord at first. Sir, you have to use the private active key (there's a button LOGIN TO SHOW on the right side, or under ACTIVE if you are using mobile device). Using private active key is the safest. I use private active key on both busy.org and utopian.

You could use this as an opportunity to promote the site. Post the need for a logo and other related things to similar sites you mentioned in your post above and ask for help. People on these sites will not only see your post and be able to help you, but will also become aware of the site and might consider listing their services.
I'd also recommend to read about how Craigslist, Kijiji, AirBnB and similar sites grew. I believe some of them simply listed on their competitor websites.
Btw, I tried the site yesterday. The loading time was really long and the side bar on the right hand side got stuck and wouldn't move anymore after a couple of seconds. I'm not sure about the stage of development the site is in, but is it too early to visit, use and promote the site?
Yes it isn't ready yet. And it is on a small server. I may need to disable login in the meantime or what do you think. I didn't put logo for other sites as i didn't want to influence much the design entries. Morever, this is an experimental post from utopian. I want to see how their rules work. What i am expecting overall is not something too creative. Something simple but i want contributors to explore their creativity even without looking much at other sites. So far i have come to like the layout for fiverr the most, then Airbnb as well. But let's see what contributors come up with

sorry for being the bad guy but as the sample websites shows, there is not much thing to do with a freelancing design. Word itself doesn't have proper meaning, well I'm just in a bad mood that I couldn't imagine anything.

I see. I was just under the impression that the #steemgigs tag was for service offers and requests more than open contributions to projects. I'm simply concerned about the future relevance of the tag to it's original purpose. You of all people know the kind of work I put in for SteemGigs, and freelancers as a whole, I just want to see it offer the very best service to freelancers as it can.
