Is anyone else as frustrated as me with the way Vice has handled thier ICO token pre-sale? I have never seen more investors and Cryptocurrency enthusiasts upset at the way things are being changed on a daily basis over there. If you are experiencing similar issues as me please leave a comment.....maybe it's just me and I'm the MOMO here!
WIth Vice trying to start their own blockchain, and not doing a smart media token. I am wondering if they are in a little over their head. It seems very few people can actually program this stuff.
They are dumb for not doing a smart media token but the customer base is so big they can probably fall flat on thier face and the token will gone much higher than .05 usd

I got to be honest with you guys. This is a terrible ICO, its a good idea but not with this project. It is basically a legal crowdfunding scam. Beware!!! The Token will NOT be trade-able outside of the VIT platform. Scam I'm sorry to say. Hope this helps someone.
Definitely bad execution. Not off to a good start. I've only participated in 1 ICO. I prefer to go for Airdrops and hardforks. Just feels safer for me personally. Good luck though...

I read their website and whitepaper and it was clear that their team have almost no idea what they are doing. Their team seemed to lack anyone with any real technical knowledge and your experience would suggest that's the case. Good luck with it, you're braver than me for giving them any money whatsoever.

I did not invest in this one but we will get an airdrop as SP holders. About 1.5x the amount of SP you had at block 18,500,000. I do believe they will no longer create an SMT, I think they have forked the blockchain. Although who knows for sure....lots of things about this ICO are unclear. Nice video.

No I don't think so. I don't see the SBD having any value on a fork that will use Vice tokens.
(I think exchanges from South Korea are the main reason for the pump, they are the ones that bought a lot according to articles I read on Steemit. Why they started buying SBD so much I don't know but I don't complain :) )
Probably so that they could create accounts that farm rewards? If done right with enough capital backing, wouldn't that be a wise financial decisions if you're willing to take the risk?
That would make extremely frustrated if I invested in VICE and they started pulling that back and forth stuff. To their benefit though I think some of these ICO's are way overwhelmed in the beginning of their launch. They are taking WAYYY to big of a bite that they can't handle!...Some people are saying the same thing about the ENVION ico, but I think everything is going very smoothly with ENVION. I already received my coins and I'm waiting for the 'Mobile Mining Units' to start going live and making us weekly dividend payments!

This is very disappointing. I hate to see you messed around with. You are very knowledgeable and do everything by the book. This also makes me worried about receiving the free air drop of Vice tokens for Steem holders. Seems like they could easily mess that up too. One good thing at least is that the extension will hopefully give you time to get setup properly.
I think this hits big cuz, for real. I am a little worried about the experience and execution of the players running the game
Vice doesn't have an MVP. It's not clearly laid out on the website or the white paper. I usually look for a big sign on the website that says "MVP." So I brought that up in telegram at one point. They said their mvp was essentially Steem because Vice Token is going to be a fork of Steem.
This brought up more questions for me because Steem only have about 300 million circulating supply of tokens. (I then took about a day and a half to research Steem and read it's White paper and blue paper). So if Vice is going to be forking from Steem and using STeem's blockchain tech as it's MVP "essentially," (they said "essentially" a lot,) then why so many more tokens?No good answer to that. @broncnutz
Well, i think they have a bigger token amount to adjust the distribution of wealth.
That's their distribution plan. They split the Blockchain, so the existing users have their steempower in vice token, but they want to finance their project so they are scaling up the amount of existing tokens to ensure tokens for ico and their own holdings. (But i think the percentage rate is pretty high.)

Well i'm no expert but from what I understood, the tokens were created on the steem blockchain, but there are talks of them moving to the ethereum blockchain after the ICO, but no real info on it. So it might still be part of the steem ecosystem. But for the ICO they are only accepting payments in ETH which makes me think they are actually gonna fork. On the otherhand APPICS was vreated on the eth blockchain and are moving to the steemit ecosystem after the ICO and they are accepting payments in steem and SBD too.

yeah its a lot to take in to begin with i've already made a few bad decisions on investing, i did the bitconnect thing and lost a little there not nearly as much as some. i ws part of another investment company called coinearner lost a little there and im still part of Usi-tech we will so how this one goes but i have decided no more investment platforms either learn to trade myself or buy and hold in tech i think has a future
Stay away from the ponzi scams and invest in long term solid projects that you personally like and believe in
A $50k bet seems super high risk given their proven incapacity to handle the easiest launch tasks. If they can't even crawl, how will they walk? How can anyone ignore the red flags that they've proven incompetence, missed dates, poor communication, potential misleading, indecision, unfair treatment of responsible first adopters, etc., and wing it since it could be huge? I'd be scared to even be a part of this if this is how they operate before the project even truly begins. Seems like a black hole for your ETH, although I hope it works out. Maybe scale back some to reflect the increased risk.

I hope this issue gets resolved quickly, but if it doesn't, then you have done a good thing by warning others, and you are in the perfect position to do so.

Hey bro, I like your style. You clearly are used to investing in the real world. Do yourself a favor... stay away from this ICO garbage. 90% of these tokens dip in price two weeks after launch anyway. Remember, these are not IPOs with security regulations attached, it's just attack of the vaporware nowadays. And while I'm not saying with certainty that Vice is not going to deliver their utility, they are not legally beholden to their contributors, as in, you can't win a civil suit against an ICO entity. If some brave soul manages this task in the US successfully and sets precedent, it will outline the new benchmark by which these project developers will be held accountable. Oh and by the way, Vice's competitors are Sexcoin (SXC), and Spankchain (SPANK), and guess what they all have in common? No working platform yet.

I think calling it a "scam" at this stage is reckless talk. Stuart may not be the most professional, I agree because I have seen it myself. VIce is a SMT on the Steem blockchain. If they don't launch a web site then I think "scam" is a fair word. Just because you got sideways with Stuart definitely does not make Vice a Scam.
I've been part of so many scams regarding crypto I can smell them 500 miles away. This stuart character shouldn't be running anything. Specially his mouth if he knows what is best for him. Some of the ICO tokens are really sound ideas. I think this one is, they just need better execution.

So wait WHAT!! If the pre sale has moved to feb 20th, when is the crowdsale? Last i spoke to one of the mods, this is the info I was given : The sale for whitelist on 31st jan and the crowdsale on 1st feb. So what's the new date for the crowdsale? Any word on it at all?
Btw, this has nothing to do about VICE, but what do you think of APPICS? I'm actually pretty excited about it and they have just announced their date for the ICO!! The reason I bring it up is, these 2, APPICS and VICE were kind of coming up around similar times, with similar concept of rewarding content (although ENTIRELY different stuff hahaha), but the APPICS team has been so much more organised I felt and their whitepaper had absolutely clear instruction about token sale with details and prices and bonuses about all the 5 rounds they'll have. And so far, they're maintained what they said.

Damn, @broncnutz. I considered getting into a small position at ICO. But, I decided against it. I know there is supposed to be an airdrop of VICE to Steem holders. So, I figured it was probably a better strategy, for me, to just accumulate Steem as at least I know for sure what I'm getting. This has got to be frustrating AF.
I wouldn't let this deter you from buying some if that was your intentions.
