Tell us about the funniest weekend you've experienced.
I can't, because it's so NSFW it's not funny. Save to say, it's one of those experiences that you bring up every now and then and say, 'can you believe we did that?' and feel kinda smug that you did. It involved a doof in the Glasshouse mountains, absinthe, and Germans. Say no more.
But then, we've had so many hilarious, fun, wicked, amazing weekends, thinking about it. It's probably time to have some more. Life has felt so - serious, lately. And a little sad.
Busy weekends on the go, or quiet and relaxing weekends - Which do you prefer and why?
In town, they're offering yin yoga at 10 am on Sundays. Who does that shit? Who has time for relaxing? We have floors to sand! Surfing to do! Land Rovers to fix! We don't even know what this thing is - 'relaxing'. Is it foreign? New fangled?
Leisure or work - Is it ok to work on the weekends or not? Explain your thoughts.
I presume you are talking about paid work. Absolutely not. Unless you're being paid triple time on a public holiday for a job you've signed up for as a weekend job, get to absolute fuck. But this is coming from someone who doesn't believe it's okay to work, full stop.
What household chore do you leave to the weekends and why?
Currently, we're selling our house, so have to tidy up every Saturday - and everything. Floors. Bathrooms. Fresh bedding. Paths raked and bird baths filled. We hate it. It's insanity. Depressing. We can get it done in about 1.5 hours now - it's become a routine. I tell Jamie that at least the house is tidy, but I feel darn resentful.
Back when we used to work full time, I'd come home and get all the washing done on the Friday night, ready to hang out first thing Saturday morning. Jamie'd whip round with the vaccuum cleaner and I'd make the beds with fresh bedding (sometimes I'd do this on Thursday or Friday night). Mopping, maybe. Bathrooms. Tunes cranked loud. We are very good at getting on with it and co-ordinating silently to get the job done. We don't like a messy house. But we're fast and efficient, so as long as we don't HAVE to do it because we have a house inspection, we don't mind.
Name three ways you've previously wasted your weekends and why.
Being hungover is regrettably first. There's nothing like a hangover to make you eat lots of fried food, lay on the couch, watch telly and generally wish you were dead. But then there's also the family things you don't really want to go to with family you don't really like. I can't think of a third. I'm one of those people who believe that as long as you've achieved something it's not been a waste of a weekend. Saying that, we are so fed up with doing DIY renovating the house, and would rather 'waste' a weekend on things we like doing, like fixing Land Rovers (Jamie), going away, surfing, and so on.
Hope you had the most perfect weekend, for you, wherever you are, and what ever you did.
Thanks to @galenkp for hosting these weekend challenges - it a nice way to connect people.

Nice to hear you're keeping busy though. It has shown to stretch time for me. 😎👌
I'm fed up with busy. Like super fed up. Losing my resilience fed up.
I'm starting to have a horror of hangovers. Enjoying yourself drinking now and again is so much fun but the thought of being absolutely wrecked the following day completely dampens my drive :D
Now I'm curious about the Germans. Also, some yin doesn't sound that bad...particularly for busy people ;)
If you have a mind that goes at warp speed, it's very hard to stay in yin poses
