Hi Friends,
We had a good, long holiday weekend and I hope each of you did as well.
We spent the weekend mostly at home this time, which is rare for us on a holiday weekend. It was a hot weekend, as the temperature exceeded 110 degrees Fahrenheit during the day, and some new wildfires started in the mountains near our house, so going outside wasn’t good with the smoke and ash - it meant we played inside nearly all weekend.
We did manage to have fun though - we played a lot of hot wheels, monster trucks, pretend food, pretend shopping, legos, puzzles and some extra screen time. We pulled out the old PlayStation video game system, and played a little on that one day, and watched a couple of movies as well. We also spent one day deep cleaning the house, and everyone pitched in. On Saturday, we did go swimming at my mom’s place before the wildfires really kicked up. Overall, a good weekend to be together as a family.

I also managed to catch some of the basketball playoffs and the golf tournament, so no complaints from me.
