Hello!
My post is a little late today due to a very rambunctious 4-year-old niece demanding Toy Story, splashes in the bath and cuddles before bed. Such a hard life!
Today I'll be keeping my post brief so I can fill it with more of my story for you. The only news really since my last post is that my doctor told me today I will need more time off work as they are waiting on my referral to a rheumatologist and has given me another 3-month certificate to exempt me from having to look for any with Centrelink. So, more time for my creative projects!!! Below is chapter one part one of my novel Eternity, I hope you all like it and I'll see you in the next post.

Chapter 1: The Dream
Death. It is all I see.
Countless bodies of fallen warriors left to rot before the great gate that lies between worlds. The clouds, once a soft white, were now stained red with the blood of both ally and enemy alike while overhead the sun was swallowed up by dark rolling storm clouds and a deathly silence descended over the landscape.
I don’t know how I got here, or why. But I know I am powerless to stop the great horde of darkness that is now swarming the shimmering gold portal in the distance known as the Pegasus gate. Its guardian, Aquarius one of the most formidable members of the Zodiac Clan, lay broken and dying before the gate as a black knight approached him.
Moving between the bodies of the dead, his black armor dripping blood and full-length cape billowing behind him, he strode with purpose to the dying demigod. I couldn’t see his face, but I knew from the size and dominance of the demon that he must be male and though defeated and broken Aquarius raised his chin in defiance, his glowing green eyes challenging the demon to make the killing blow that would end his reign as a god of the stars forever.
I drift closer, compelled to witness the passing of this immense being. Also drawn to the dark knight as he raises his giant obsidian battle ax, the head of the double-sided weapon hanging high in the air for what seemed like an eternity, before arching down to sever the head of Aquarius clean from his shoulders.
I watch in horror as the knight kneels to collect the head. Clutching the blond hair between his armored hands he rises, head in hand, and raises it high above for all the horde to see. The deathly silence is broken by the cheers of the demons celebrating the victory before the knight throws the head into the swarming mass heading through the gate once more.
I stood, frozen in place, as the knight realizes he is being watched and slowly turns to face me. He seems startled to see me here and now that I can see his face, I’m in awe of his beauty. Never have I seen a male like this. With long raven black hair and piercing grey eyes. He must be at least 7 foot and built strong, the ebony armor making him seem larger than life.
Intrigued, the knight moves closer as I begin to hear voices in the distance calling my name. The land around me comes into sharp focus and I see all the blood and death again, remembering that this dark stranger is the cause of the destruction. I start to step back but for every step back I take, the knight takes one closer, his determination to catch me evidently in the set of his jaw and the focus in his eyes.
The voices are louder now, and I begin to see a white light engulfing my legs and arms as I begin to disappear. The knight has reached me and moves to grab my arm in his hand. When it fades, and he grabs the thin air where my arm was, he grows more desperate and wraps his arms around my torso where the light hasn’t reached yet. He lowers his head to meet my shocked eyes, desperation written all over his face.
“Who are you?” his deep voice echoes around us as more of my body disappears. But before I could even think of an answer, my whole body is engulfed in light and I fall into darkness.
Oooh, oh I can NOT wait to read more.
