@Thing 1 & Thing 2 The Media Maniacs, how was Harrison any better than Dexter's brother? Harrison was losing it when he hurt those other kids. Dexter has more experience with the Dark Passenger than Harrison who has it but is now alone with no mentors. Harrison is like Rey Skywalker Palpatine of Star Wars. Gaming Historian - The Story of Mario Paint | Gaming Historian

Nintendo teamed up with MIT in around 1990 or maybe a year or so before that to develop educational games. Mario Paint came out in 1992.

On the 23rd of August of 1991, the Super Nintendo came out.

1993-09 - Edward Gussen filed a lawsuit against Nintendo of America and its parent company, Nintendo Co, stating Mario Paint,f or the Super Nintendo, which came out in 1992, infringed on his U.S. Patent, seven sheets long, number 4,782,335, filed on the 1st of November of 1988. His video game thing was called Video Art which was on sale for $89.99 which was or included a game controller device with two joysticks or buttons of some sort. Lin Ltd. It was an electronic system with one joystick. However, on the 6th of October of 1994, a federal judge dismissed Gussen's lawsuit because it was completely different. Associated Press, Weekend, October 15-16, 1994.

My response to this could drag on. I have a lot to say regarding legal issues. The judge was right and wrong in different ways. Copyright is a tricky issue. I talk about that at times regarding digital items as that could be used to infringe against mental thoughts which are ironically digital too. However, this case in point is mostly focused on actual tangible products. They're not solely digital. We're talking about hardware. However, I still have a lot to say regarding the foundation which copyright rests on which goes back at least 500 years or so to the beginning of the Printing Press era in the 1500s or so. I would say Mario Paint is similar to Gussen's thing. However at the same time, his thing is also similar to thing which came before him and their things are similar to things before them. This is where copyright and plagiarism becomes tricky. I would put more responsibility on the customers not to buy fake products, scams, products from companies who might be ripping off the products of others which you may see in places like China where they copy ideas they see from mostly places like America and they make a lot of money in places like China doing it.

So, long story short, I would raise awareness of scams, fakes, rip-offs, copies, plagiarism, etc. Let the crowd, the will of the people, the free market, decide not to support or buy or fund or promote them as opposed to relying too heavily, aggressively, etc, on judges to make companies and people pay or go to prison for breaking copyright laws and other laws. At the very least, have jurors decide the fate of some or all of those types of cases. Some of these issues and cases can rather become too subjective and a series of things. They also can be too much centralized power for judges to decide the fate of. These things can blur the lines or make it hard to draw the line and see the line between what is legal and not or moral or not or etc. In at least some cases, copyright and plagiarism can be interconnected or similar. Drawing the line between what might be copyrighted, patented, trademarked, etc, is insanely weird. For example, where do you draw line between which things are too similar to other things? Yoshi and Barney are both dinosaurs. Are they different enough from each other? Some movies and shows have the same name and yet are they infringing upon each other? Nicole Kidman was in a movie called The Others. So, can that be patented or copyrighted or what have you to prevent others from using them? I am just using that as an extreme example. Imagine how many songs are about love. Imagine copyrighting the word love. Imagine holding a patent for a game controller, a TV, shoe, hammer, or even the wheel. Are different tires unique from each other or are they all very similar to each other and where do you draw the line? If you think long and hard enough, you can come up with differences between identical twins and similarities between oranges and trains. So, my point is these things can be perhaps too subjective and rather a thing that the free market should sort out.

For example, if Nintendo felt like I stole their Mario video game and was selling it and was making it too much money and everything. If they felt like it was hurting their business, profits, reputation, brand, etc. I would argue, instead of taking me to court, they should take me to the court of public opinion and put out hit pieces on me if need be. Tell the world I was a scam or what have you and destroy my reputation with the general public as opposed to trying to lock me up in prison or heavily enslaved to fines. To the extent we can have better judges, jurors, laws, etc, or as good as possible, then we can somewhat rely on the judgments they make. But at the same time, absolute powers corrupt absolutely and things like copyright have been used by cartels and monopolies alike excessively over the centuries. In other words, copyright rarely helps out small struggling people. Same thing with taxes which corporations get around while the small fish or people become stuck with. Copyright has been too counterproductive and a number of things. That is why I talk so much about it over the years. I will continue to do so as much as I can as this is a big passion for me. Who draws the line between what is and is not different enough to be considered not infringing? Who draws the line? We also have Fair Use to consider. What is weird is if Nintendo encouraged people to copy their Mario Paint art onto VCRs because that could be consider a violation of copyright. Because it is a copy of the game. I would be against calling it a violation of copyright. But then again, I am against copyright as it is or it can be used as a blockade against free markets similar to taxes, regulations, etc.

I accidentally recorded over a movie I made (onto the VCR) with Mario Paint around 1999, an awards show. Characters went onto the stage to get awards. I forget the details. Something must have happened like a conflict or something at the end. I also a countdown thing I made for the 1999 or 2000s New Years. We must have got the game for Christmas of 1998 or something like that. But then again, I forget the exact year. But I believe I was doing art on Mario Paint either first or more often than when compared with MS Paint on computers.

@Alex Noa, stereotypes can sometimes be correct, but things are always changing, so stereotypes are more able to summarize the past to the extent it is first analyzed enough. The problem is individuals are always making choices which alters generalized stereotypes. However, the vaguer the stereotype, then the harder it is to alter it. For example, the stereotype that humans breathe air is one that is pretty hard to alter outside of including aliens, dead bodies, etc, in the statistics.

Either that or behind the green house. Lunch, afternoon. Done for the day with room organizing, 06:30 PM, back to computer. UPS is here, backup power. I hear conversations. Interesting to hear 10 year anniversary is close for mom. Set clock as it was unplugged. Bed head thing broken. Metal thing on back of my couch chair, it scrapes onto it. Yellow book shed wobbles, I've noticed it for years. It may be ok or normal. Hopefully not. It leans forwards towards its front as usual.. Brown photo shelf is leaning towards window right now or towards its left side when its front is facing you. Dinner, 09:00 PM apx. Nap, 11 PM to 02:00 AM. Happy with the work I got done in my room today.
