I miss the old days...
I got all the attention. My human dressed me up as a fancy DJ to get some shots! In fact, literally 98% of all @Sykochica's pictures were taken of me! Hell..I've even been highlighted here on Steemit relatively recently Here and Here.
I was a STAR!
She was ALL mine...until she got the Steemit fever!

Since then she actually started taking pictures of other things...like flowers! Flowers are for chewing..not photography! The just sit there, blow in the wind...they don't climb up on the humans knee and look THIS cute?!??! Do they?!?!

She started visiting sculpture parks and botanical gardens instead of petting me...

I do wonder sometimes if our pets understand what we're doing when we're on computers. Do they wonder why we're staring endlessly at this plastic box thing? Do they think we've lost our minds?

This was at the Laumeier Sculpture Parkin St. Louis. You have no idea what the 'pit' looking thing is...until you get close enough to see the bottom. The best part was there were two butterflies fluttering around when I got there.

I assume it's just like what we think when we see our pets staring at a wall...which I guess is saying they're seeing something we're not?!?! One sec..gotta stare a a wall...
Ok..I'm back. Nope still not interesting..just a wall. :P Unfortunately I think mine has a deep well of arguments other than staring at a box for hours, lol.
I agree with Gizmo on one thing: Moar Gizmo pictures!
I mean, the others are very nice, but if you've read the wonderful story Cat Pictures Please, you know cat pictures will save us all!
LOL!! This is too funny! I love it from your cats perspective!! GREAT idea!! You know your kitty is loyal no matter what!! This is how my cat always looked at me!! (My very best friend in the world takes care of my cat Siren now because of my travel schedule. She is very spoiled, and very happy. Even though I miss her every single day!)

Your post has me missing my cat. He got loose a few weeks ago and I haven't seen him since. He was a three legged stray that never really settled down to indoor life.
The only silver lining is that I haven't been attacked while using the bathroom lately.
That sucks...I'm sorry. I can only imagine...I'd be a wreck!
Def a plus having the bathroom safety though! ...and the toilet paper isn't fully unwound, lol.

This is adorable @sykochica! I can relate to your kitty's pain. Although, it's some part of myself that I miss since joining. I just can't seem to pull myself away! Forget about going for walks or anything that draws me away from my laptop for too long. Between Steemit and a bajillion related Discord servers – who's got time for anything else?!!? I've definitely got the fever.

Honestly...the hardest thing for me since starting here way back when is finding and maintaining that 'sweet spot' of just enough steemit. Especially when starting or getting involved in something new..especially with others!
Ideally as we get SMT's and communities online...there's a bit more opportunity for people to be able to go full time steemit!
I'm basically full-time now, only because I haven't had any real work in way too long. I'm sincerely working my butt off to grow on here because I need the supplemental income. Sad but true. I'm down to my last $100 in fiat, and my credit card debt is increasing – a thing I've never before let happen. I've always paid off the balance each month, so I've never really paid interest. That's all about to change.
Dire confessions aside – I really do love this platform and already cherish so many of the friendships I've formed because of it. You among them. ;)

I can definitely relate on that feeling connected to nature. I think that's a part of why I almost never take pictures of people.
lol! Well, Gizmo, I think the flowers and the sculptures are nice, but nothing compares to you. You're gorgeous... and I have a feeling you still are the center of @sykochica's life. ;-)

Wow, 2 years is such an inspiring journey. Your photos are great especially your lovely cat! Its my 5th month here in steemit and I'm excited of what to come in the future.
Yes there has got to be something wrong with your human. She should certainly pay more attention to you. She hasn't been on steemit to much lately either so I'd be thinking she is two timing on you and has a new girlfriend.
