this postThis #Inktober entry may require some explanation. I do think they could have gone more varied with the prompts. We've had roasted and now scorched. Later there's chop and slice. There terms could mean similar things, but are open to interpretation. Anyway, I just saw by @lloyddavis featuring a carrot top he made into a face with some peppercorns. That got me thinking about how some cooking involves scorching vegetables with a blowtorch. Or is that searing? I really don't know. Before I knew it this came out where Lloyd's carrot is being tortured. I've heard it said that a vegetable is still alive if you eat it raw, but as it has no brain I don't think that can be considered cruel.
I'm sorry if this offends any carrots out there.

Maybe I wrote a similar thing before, but the Inktober drawings help me to understand better the meanings of some English word. One of the problems I have when I write something in English is that I use to "think" in Italian and so I translate what I'm thinking, but the words I can use in a Italian sentence can have different meanings in English and so the sentence I write could be not very understandable. For example, in italian we use the word "casa" for home and also for house, so I use the Oxford Dictionary instead of a simple italian-english dictionary to help me when I need to know better a word ^^ Oh, I like that carrot! ^^
You have it harder than me. I like doing cryptic crosswords, so I'm used to thinking of other meaning for words. I'll see what else I can come up with.
