I was rewatching a video of one of my favorite youtuber: exurb1a who goes quite in depth about time travel and how you'd prepare yourself for it and what fun things you could do to well, basically take over the world. It's a really fun video and I recommend anyone here to watch it, maybe we could spam him telling him to check out Steem at the same time as he hasn't been so active on youtube lately and also has a video letting youtube know how how annoyed he is of them bowing down to advertisers and pushing out content creators which he saw coming already 2 years ago. What would you do if you could travel back in time? Where/(when) would you go and would you stay there or do something that would benefit you in the now so you'd travel back?
I would go back to Roman Times probably during the reign of one of the good early emperors. I want to watch people beimg fed to lions and slaves fighting to the death.
But first I would just go to the super market and buy some spices that were worth a fortune back then but are cheap as can be today. Maybe I'd take a short hop back im time to win lottos or gamble or buy BTC at a low price so I can bring gold with me as well.

I had a yellow VW Beatle from 1968. It was my first car when I was 18, and I ended up selling it for peanuts to some asshole. If I could go back in time, I wouldn't sell it. Not only would it be worth a lot today, but also from a sentimental point of view this was a big mistake...
My first car was a 69 VW squareback.

Good question. In particular, I would travel to 1998 to stop Hugo Chávez and his revolution, I would study another university career as an economy, I would invest in gold and silver, and I would bring an almanac of winners from 1998 to 2019 as it happened in the movie. Back to the future hahahahaha .

Thats a tricky question. Because going back in time also includes the ability to forget everything you have going on right now. Changing the past includes changing the future.
Thats like asking "Do you want to make your current life no longer a part of this timeline?" No more kids, no more wife, no more of your current job. Wipe the slate clean, and start over new again.
So if I ever came to the point of going back in time, I would have to have the truth in my heart that my family..... Will no longer be my family.
But on the other hand.... Buy a bunch of Bitcoin and Steem, HODL it. Come back within minutes of leaving to make sure not much has changed. And hope to god my love and Life is the same. If thats true? Quit my job as a Billionair.

I would go back to 8th grade and confess to that girl that I liked that I knew liked me back but I never did it or I would probably travel back and attempt to save my friend that died surfing in June 2013... but that would probably create wacky time issues or alternative timelines...
or better yet, use the time machine and hope I explode into a nuke somewhere where I can do the most possible damage to the world... so probably blowing myself up in the panama canal or the suez canal, for well, fun. or the Artic/Antartica? I think I watched a video about how you could destroy the world by blowing a few nukes up there or down there.

I think the video implied that there's already a time traveler among us doing these things.
The only human that we know has been tru different periods doing who knows what.
The video was just telling us Keanu's plan all along. He is the God Emperor of Time.
I think if I had such opportunity than I want to correct mistakes which I've done in pust. Maybe I choose not only my current profession but also one or to related fields of education. And of course I want to meet again with my relativies who now not with us!

I'd go to the year 2009 and donate Nouriel Roubini 100 bitcoins. He'd sell them right away out of sheer contempt. After watching their price go to Jupiter, he'd breathe like Alien for the rest of his life.

I would write up some lottery numbers with exact date and time, and leave them somewhere my parents would find it right when I turn 17.
Because all I really want is to live my childhood over again :)
And obviously get rich at the end of it, so I wouldn't have to do work :D
