The process is simple:
With 20 english curators, it is easy for us to browse almost every tag and find hidden gems. If the post we found is written by an author preferably with no more than 6 months on Steemit and his/her average rewards are below double digits, then said post is eligible to be nominated.
At the end of the day, we´ll have between 15-20 posts nominated for curation on our discord chat, then each curator reads all of the posts nominated and chooses two of them. The 10 posts with more internal votes are featured on our Daily Issue, giving the author and the post more visibility, rewards, and a vote from some members of the team, from the account @ocd and from our leader @acidyo.
This translates in total post rewards oscilating $15-$20 without counting the votes the posts may get from our +6,500 followers.
OCD Daily: English Posts
In the last 10 months our curators have nominated for curation more than 3,000 posts and out of those, through the internal voting process we have selected almost 2,000 posts!
We know that all of these rewards are not directly from us, but given that our curators nominate posts that are usually below the $5 dollar mark and the post ends up between $18-$25 in total rewards, the 18k statement is conservative.

OCD International Daily: Different Languages
Even though English is the main language - by far - used on Steemit, it is clear that more and more languages are being used to write posts on a daily basis. In OCD we noticed that and, with the only intention of encouraging these new communities to keep posting, we decided to add to the team an international group of curators to select and reward posts from 10 different languages - so far:
Spanish, German, French, Italian, Polish, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Dutch.
It´s been more than 150 issues since we started curating posts from these languages and so far we´ve curated more than 1,000 posts.
The list for the international posts curated by @ocd can be found in the comment section - the posts was too long, that´s how many people we´ve curated! They don´t fit in one post!
OCD Resteem
Every @ocd compilation post - the English and the international one - uses the tag #ocd, in there you can find every comp we´ve made for the past seven days. But there is also another tag in the @ocd universe…
#ocd-resteem
This tag is used by authors who want to be resteemed by the @ocd account – and sometimes from some of our members – and to also get some votes from our curators. Each day, from the tens of posts using the tag, we choose 3 posts using the #ocd-resteem tag and, obviously we resteem it. After that, we vote on it with the @ocd account and then @acidyo votes on the post.
This initiative started 170 days ago and so far we´ve resteemed almost 600 posts.
Same with international posts, The list for the resteem posts curated by @ocd can be found in the comment section - the posts was too long, that´s how many people we´ve curated! They don´t fit in one post!
But there is more, one last initiative which will use this very same list for it, be on the lookoout for it, in a few days our leader @acidyo will announce it, for now, keep making awesome content, you never know when @ocd might be curating your tags.

OCD is undoubtedly one of the best (not for profit) initiatives happening on Steem.
It is rather sickening even that such initiatives which have proven their longevity and popularity have not (yet) received backing from @mrdelegation, since they are vital for user retention and increased support will only further spread the support they give the community, and subsequently the popularity of the platform and also make it more interesting a platform for long-term investors.

Maybe when we make an announcement looking for new curators you can postulate yourself and if you enter the team you can specialize in those posts man! Our discord is currently only for curators but we´ve been thinking of making it public, do you think the community would like that?
I think people will love it.
You can have programs that will help steemians grow.
I think that's the idea why ocd was created.
You can have live curation shows where a very small fraction of the voting power is used to upvote attendants posts.
You can organize weekly contests and give aways
You can give projects and watch out for the results from steemians and communities.
You can do a whole lots of new stuff to increase the awareness of @ocd on steemit.
Ocd is a great initiative that need to be known by all steemians.
Only a handful of Nigerian steemians really really know about project ocd's operations.
@ocd is clearly a great initiative for encouraging members (especially newer ones) to keep creating good content for the community to enjoy. I had the luck to be curated by @ocd on my first month and I am still thankful for that.
I really wish the best to this team of curators since it is one of the most important curation groups on Steem.
PS: I wonder if @ocd is thinking in letting new curators to join the team?

Of course! As long as the post has a good level of english, the post qualifies to be curated using the #ocd-resteem tag. Also, we are continually searching for high quality posts in most of the popular tags, not only ocd-resteem.

Good to see a list of worthy authors. Excellent data crunching ...I can imagine the efforts gone into curating and then preserving this data. Kudos to you!
It would have been much better if a list of posts curated (and may be categorized by topics / tags) could be compiled. Such a list can make a good resource for our readings. I'm sure most of these posts would be timeless and still relevant to read.
It is groups like this that make putting in extra effort and striving to want to do better worthwhile. While the rewards are nice added bonus. It’s more of the fact that people devote a part of their time in trying to find and promote those that are trying so hard. It is always so nice to know even with how easy it is to become lost in the great steemit ocean groups like OCD care.
So many just want toss all there spare SP into delegation towards bidbots and be done. Instead of trying to maximize their short term profits doing this they look for the future. They put that power they have into shaping steemit by encouraging content they want the platform to be based around. The amount of impact you guys have in encouraging authors is outstanding. It goes far beyond any financial rewards you can attach to it.

Definitely, I can't tell my steemit story without mentioning @ocd. You guys gave a nice 'chunk' of upvotes, especially in my first and second months.

I am blogging mainly about art and my personal self development stuff, but I have lots of other little niche interests too! On my own I have started curating single parent steemians! I "interview" them and post about them on my blog, and then link back to theirs. I have to admit my real life endeavors have taken over lately and I don't blog as much as I used to, but your curation of me really perked me up and made me want to keep trying again! I would be interested in being a curator!
