There has been a lot of talk the last few weeks about the volatility of the Cryptocurrency Markets. I see people yelling "Get out now or lose everything" ๐จ๐ฎย
I find this type of behavior pretty funny... I tend to do the opposite what the masses do. ๐คฃ๐
When I first started in May, I set my price targets for buying Steem at $1.00 - $2.00. Now that it's under $1.00, I want to be loading up the truck! ๐
However, like I promised on several of my posts... it's better to accumulate your positions and buy small amounts here and there when the prices fall.ย
So today, I decided to just to buy a small position of 223.464 worth of steem. What a good price!
The reason why I think Investing in Steem is a smart move... it's because I see it as one of the Top 20 Cryptocurrencies on the market. ๐ฏ
I see huge potential what this platform can do in the future. ๐จโ๐
Never let fear or be emotional when Investing in anything, it usually leads to bad decisions and that's why most people fail. ๐
It may go down from here... but you know what... I'll be ready to buy again... while most people run away and look for safety ๐คฃ

I was buying at $1.55 thinking I was getting a deal the other week but cryptos are getting slammed pretty hard, I wouldn't be shocked to see Steem dip below $0.50 cents so I'm gonna make small weekly buys on the way down.

Buying on the way down is a great way to go, you can always sell it on the way back up, except if it is steem. That stuff is gold, pop it into your account and raise your earning potential. Then ROCK on your posts, getting followers and promoting steemit. Such a no-brainer. I am gonna double my holdings. Can hardly wait to get to my next post. So cool.

and that's one thing that rather concerns me, is that I am also seeing quite a few posts with people saying "no way bitcoin goes below xxx", "down here it's a steal", "start loading the boat". That's not generally how bottoms are formed.
The majority must always be wrong, and going into "the low", the vast majority will have likely (once again) given up on crypto altogether. And once that happens, well now you may have just gotten the "fuel" needed to take it back up again.
Just to be clear, I'm not saying buys here won't eventually work out. However, I've bought stocks at $10, that still went down to $2, before trading at $50 several years later (and some that didn't), especially back in 2009 and 2011 when the "baby was being tossed out with the bath water".
As I mentioned in my last post, that's why risk management and position size is so critical when trading and investing. Your level of "exposure" is one of the few things you can control in the markets (and in life).
And from my perspective, the more steemians who appreciate, respect, and understand this dynamic, the stronger the foundation we have to build upon.
You make tons of sense.. I posted many times, just take small positions (accumulation). Worse case scenario, bitcoin can go back to $1000. People also need to realize that "picking bottoms" is no way to play this game.
I also stress to people that, don't get emotional. The "market" is going to do what it wants.

I did on Friday , just a little steem power. I will probably change all my bitcoins into other values till the end of the month, so Steem will get some more fuel ;)

Well, I'm not buying yet.
It's a little that I'm waiting on the sidelines for a better price, as I think it will go lower. I think it could easily base in the $1000-1200 range.
But, the truth is, if I could buy in small amounts each day, I would be buying already. But, thanks to Coinbase mistakenly locking my account and asking me for ID they already have, my bank shutting down my account because I tried to setup a wire into BTS, and the premiums and hassle of Local Bitcoins...I really can't buy. Kraken and Gemini have been "verifying" me for over 2 months.
I'll probably have to pick a price later and just dump in what I have to invest at once, since it's becoming impossible to get money in.
Kinda funny you said that, had some issues with coinbase also with couple of transactions. Coinbase is easy to use/manage and I like them but they are "gouging" everything with there ridiculous fees lol.

Having power now is a good thing but I'm also preparing for STEEM to drop between $0.25 and $0.50. I'm very bullish on STEEM but this may occur if BTC and ETH bubbles pop completely. I'm talking 8 months to a year from now. But who knows. Crypto is unpredictable. Whatever happens I'm ready to react.

I'm still waiting. The overall cryptocurrency market cap is still in decline and I imagine this will continue to have an effect on the steem price trending downwards. My goal is the last five days of July to buy because I think prices across the board will be lower right before BIP 148.

What up @ptmikesteem! Yeah, I only been here about 50 days and still learning a lot. It accumulation time, but I keep telling people don't go all in. We might find prices between .20-$1. Price isn't a factor for me, I just been buyin weekly just for kicks :) ... the future is bright however for a few cryptos like steem :)

I'm with you on the Steem, picked up a couple hundred last night and more this morning. I'm not as convinced on this Aug. 1st "hard date". Every time I see people making predictions based on cc news with a specific date or date range there is usually an upswing, followed by down. I typically sit those out, meaning I don't buy the news.

If I'm here on the Steemit platform it's because I believe in it, andif I believe I should invest. It is a logical reasoning. Fear leads us to failure, investing generates profit, and if we lose at least tried. Who does not take risks does not evolve.

I'm a noob. I have been investing is silver coins since 2014, and have been watching cryptos since then. I never had the guts to buy into the market (bitcoin was around $280-$300 and litecoin was around $3), and I am kicking myself now. This weekend's slide was a perfect time to buy. I'm all in now.

Steem is great buying opportunity. I think the bottom could be around 50 cents, 30 cents is gift from heaven.
