Hello friends of Hive and my Hive Open Mic family, I'm Fernando Benedetti from @fernanblog; I almost didn't get to participate, but here I am; beyond the fact that the theme is very peculiar, I had some very busy days and that's why I'm just uploading my participation today.
The theme "Bicycle" made me think of many things, especially at the exact moment when I learned to ride it when I was little; I think we all had a regression to our childhood, because the bicycle symbolizes that stage in which we are acquiring knowledge to move forward...
For me this means of transportation represents freedom, peace and at the same time protection; on it we stumble, fall and get up to continue, similar to what we do during life in order to grow as human beings. I don't know if the same thing happened to you as it did to me, but beyond remembering my adventures on a bicycle, my family automatically came to mind, they are my support, my balance and the ones who hold my hand in my worst falls...
Today I want to dedicate the song I will perform to them, starting with my parents and brother, reaching my maternal grandmother, my aunts, cousin and the best of the Benedetti: my nephew, who with his young age has taught me to reinforce the concept of love in an incredible way. When he started growing up and approaching the bike, both my brother and I were always there to help him, he is currently 10 years old and you will see him in the video.
The song I bring you is called "Kings and Queens" by the American rock band 30 Seconds To Mars; it is the lead single from their 3rd studio album called "This Is War" released in 2009. In the video for this song, both the band members and the guest actors ride their bicycles around the city while the lyrics empower what happens during the audiovisual work. All the videos of this band are amazing, so don't miss the official video that I'll leave here in case you don't know it. This band is led by the also actor Jared Leto who has a very cool voice.
I really like the title of the song because certainly, in our lives we have our Kings and Queens, and I mean our most loved ones, those who, with their words, their presence, their energy, illuminate our paths.
I also extend the dedication to each one of us, no matter if we are having a bad time, or things are not going our way, self-love must ALWAYS flow, we must be the Kings and Queens of our stories and not put our destiny in someone else's hands...

Hola amigos de Hive y de mi familia Hive Open Mic, soy Fernando Benedetti de @fernanblog; casi no llego a participar, pero aquí estoy; más allá de que la temática es bien peculiar, tuve unos días muy ocupados y por ello apenas hoy subo mi participación.
La temática “Bicicleta” me hizo pensar en muchas cosas, especialmente en el momento exacto en que aprendí a montarla cuando estaba pequeño; creo que todos tuvimos una regresión a nuestra infancia, pues la bicicleta simboliza esa etapa en que estamos adquiriendo conocimientos para avanzar…
Para mi este medio de transporte representa libertad, paz y a la vez protección; en ella tropezamos, caemos y nos levantamos para continuar, similar a lo que hacemos durante la vida para poder crecer como seres humanos. No sé si a ustedes les pasó lo mismo que a mí, pero más allá de acordarme de mis aventuras en bicicleta, automáticamente mi familia vino a la mente, ellos son mi soporte, mi equilibrio y quienes me tienden la mano ante mis peores caídas…
Hoy quiero dedicarles a ellos la canción que interpretaré, empezando por mis padres y hermano, llegando a mi abuela materna, mis tías, prima y al mejor de los Benedetti: mi sobrino, quien con su corta edad me ha enseñado a reforzar el concepto de amor de una forma increíble. Cuando él empezó a crecer y a acercarse a la bicicleta, tanto mi hermano como yo, estábamos siempre ahí para ayudarle, actualmente tiene 10 años y lo verán en el video.
La canción que les traigo se llama “Kings and Queens” (Reyes y Reinas) de la banda de rock norteamericana 30 Seconds To Mars (30 segundos a Marte); es el sencillo principal de su 3er álbum de estudio llamado “This Is War” (Esto Es La Guerra) lanzado en el año 2009. En el video de esta canción, tanto los miembros de la banda como los actores invitados, van en sus bicicletas paseando por la ciudad mientras la letra va empoderando lo que sucede durante la obra audiovisual. Todos los videos de esta banda son increíbles, así que no se pierdan el video oficial que se los dejaré aquí por si no lo conocen. Esta banda está liderada por el también actor Jared Leto quien tiene una voz muy genial.
Me gusta mucho el titulo de la canción porque ciertamente, en nuestras vidas tenemos nuestros Reyes y Reinas, y me refiero a nuestros seres más amados, esos que, con sus palabras, su presencia, su energía, iluminan nuestros caminos.
También extiendo la dedicatoria a cada uno de nosotros, no importa si la estamos pasando mal, o las cosas no se dan como queremos, el amor propio SIEMPRE debe fluir, debemos ser los Reyes y Reinas de nuestras historias y no poner nuestro destino en manos de alguien más...

Fer, qué original que te presentaras sobre una bicicleta. A todos de alguna manera la bicicleta nos lleva a la infancia cuando estábamos aprendiendo a montarla y por supuesto nos recuerda a la familia y amigos y los tantos momentos compartidos.
