The start of the storm.

in Silver Bloggers2 years ago

I am an inquisitive guy and searched until I found the origin of the storm.

The first three photos will show you the start of the storm and then I will show you how the storm clouds spread over the mountain range.

The single mountain in the first three photos is at the end of the mountain range, and the clouds swung away from it towards the right. From there the mountain range runs right around the bay and ends in the sea.
It is always exciting to discover the start of a storm and we were warned by the weatherman to expect a storm, so I was waiting for it.
Come and see.

Here you can see that the clouds were starting to spread towards the right in the direction of the mountain range.
094.JPG

Ever so gradually it started to cover the mountain range.

A closer look at the peaks and the rain had not started yet.

Right around it went and then started to come in over the town.

Another secret about that single mountain is that we get a very hot wind flowing over it occasionally during winter. They call it the Berg Wind and let me tell you that it feels like summer when one steps out of the house at night. Right in the middle of the cold winter season. They reckon that it is a hot dry wind called a katabatic wind and it comes from a high central plateau to the coast.

Nature is such a wonderful font of mysterious events that one could never unravel all of its secrets. But of course, as mankind we are more interested in its destruction to make way for our developments. A new study was released today and the finding is that we have lost a quarter of bird species between 1970-2022. Frightening methinks.
Let's all try to protect nature as much as we can.

I hope that you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

The storm pictures are definitely spectacular and exciting :)

That's scary... It makes me worry if we will have any wild creatures a century from now 😢

Thank you and I always get a thrill at the approach of a storm :)

Yes, it is bad out there and they reckon that many worse things will be on its way if we don't stop destroying the planet.

Thank you for the curation.

The folks up north are struggling with the heat and now also the water cuts.
So we are lucky to have cool weather here and the clouds are a bonus.

I hope that you guys will have some rain soon.

Rationing of water in North is bad news for business and people who live there.

Little rain fell over the weekend nowhere near the flood warnings given.

Bad news indeed and much more bad news to come, as they reckon the strikes are in the process of tanking the country. If the country is not already tanked from the constant lack of progress.
They reckon it's not a lack of water, but old infrastructure that cannot keep up the pressures.

Sad about the little rain, but such is life.

What comes around, goes around, most leaders fledged from Trade Unions, now they are at loggerheads, you would think they would understand each others mentality!

Infrastructure, maintenance what is that?

The thing that matters here is that the people are trapped in this situation, as service delivery suffers.

Very necessary stuff methinks.

There's something majestic about a storm rising from behind a mountain.

Thank you and I share you grief about the loss of your son.
Something personal here.
I am the last one left of my direct family and I had to go and claim the bodies of my mom and my sister in the morgue. Mom died in a car accident and sister by suicide. The other two of my family, my gran and my eldest sister died of natural causes.
I never had a father and when he died I and his other 5 sons buried him. I also had to go and claim the bodies of my ex-wife's younger brother and his wife in the morgue as he died in a car accident and his wife overdosed.
So It is a very touchy subject for me that I have buried in the past where it belongs. Of course the hurt is still there, but I know that it will never go away and so I handle it.

There are many storms in our lives my friend and all that we can do is to endure and to carry on in the present as best we can.
So please know that I feel for you and I have no advice to give you as each of us handles our grief in our own ways.

Blessings to you guys.

I'm sorry to hear about all the trauma that you and your family have endured. Like you said, there are no words or advice you can give someone else as they deal with their grief. All we can do is carry on and try to make the best use of the lives we've got and finding some joy in the relationships we still have with those who surround us.

So true and 100% correct as our journey is very short in this world and we have to try to be the best that we can every day.

scary hot clouds, I hope you recover quickly, from the threat of terrible clouds.

Happy weekend friends, have a nice day :)
