💥Parallel Bar Push-Up Workout and Planche Progressions💥
Hello, #Hive and #SWC community! How are all the athletes and calisthenics enthusiasts? I hope your workouts are getting stronger every day and that you continue to achieve your goals. I send you all a big hello and lots of energy to keep progressing. Today I want to share a little about my latest workout, focused on strengthening the push-up, which is essential for improving plank push-ups.
I did this session at my friend @mclionblack-sw's house. He has equipment like parallel bars and resistance bands, ideal for a good warm-up. We started with tuck planche push-ups, performing 10 reps and holding in the base position. Then I moved on to the same progression, but with a supinated grip, to target other muscle fibers. We rest for 3 minutes between sets and repeat everything 3 times, always paying attention to technique. We then continued with plank rows (5 reps) and parallel bar dips (5 reps). We repeated this combination three times, with three-minute breaks. To finish, we did supine plank rows, with 10 well-controlled reps, focusing on a perfect lowering and rising, also for three sets.
The main goal of this routine was to strengthen my push-up to continue improving my planche straddle push-ups, which is my strongest variation. I'd been lacking a bit in technique lately, especially on the lowering, but with these workouts, I'm confident I'll regain my level.
