Vivo con mis padres y uno de mis dos hermanos, mi hermano menor, el cual tiene once años (11) y es la luz y corazón de la casa, es un niño con una chispa de genialidad absoluta y un cariño innato hacia los animales. Mi hermano mayor tiene veintisiete años (27) y actualmente vive en Yaracuy (Venezuela), él se dedica a la música y decidió mudarse para seguir sus proyectos musicales con su saxofón. Mis padres son el pilar fundamental de mi vida. Ambos han procurado siempre dar lo mejor para nosotros, y su apoyo es incondicional. Siento que el amor de mi familia ha sido el catalizador más poderoso de todo lo que me he propuesto.
Hello, good vibes people! This way Luis Rodriguez, Venezuelan tattoo artist and lawyer. Currently, I'm 24 years old, I'm from Punta de Mata, a small town in the State of Monagas (Venezuela). I live with my parents and one of my two brothers, my younger brother, who is eleven years old (11) and is the light and heart of the house, is a child with a spark of absolute genius and an innate affection for animals. My older brother is twenty seven years old (27) and currently lives in Yaracuy (Venezuela), he is dedicated to music and decided to move to follow his musical projects with his saxophone. My parents are the fundamental pillar of my life. Both have always tried to give the best for us, and their support is unconditional. I feel that my family's love has been the most powerful catalyst for everything I have set out to do.
Con 13 años tenía claro que quería ser tatuador, todo era tatuaje para mí, desde revistas a programas de televisión, me la pasaba pensando y hablando de tatuajes.
When I was 13 years old I knew I wanted to be a tattoo artist, everything was tattoo for me, from magazines to TV shows, I kept thinking and talking about tattoos.
Al terminar mi educación secundaria, mi plan era estudiar una licenciatura en artes plásticas, por varias razones no lo logré y comencé a estudiar Derecho, curiosamente sería el Derecho lo que me llevaría a adentrarme mucho mas en el mundo del tatuaje. Como cosas del destino, en el edificio en el que estaba mi universidad había un estudio de tatuaje. Luego de conversar con el artista, de allí me acepto como su aprendiz, con mucho empeño comencé a aprender.
When I finished my high school education, my plan was to study a degree in fine arts, for various reasons I did not succeed and began to study law, curiously it would be law that would lead me to go much deeper into the world of tattooing. As fate would have it, in the building where my university was located there was a tattoo studio. After talking to the artist, he accepted me as his apprentice and I started to learn.
Terminé mi carrera e inicié en un pequeño espacio, dentro de un salón de belleza, como tatuador. Ese pequeño cubículo de dos metros cuadrados se convirtió en mi casa por dos años, dos años en los cuales crecí a nivel personal, espiritual y profesional.
I finished my career and started in a small space, inside a beauty salon, as a tattoo artist. That small cubicle of two square meters became my home for two years, two years in which I grew personally, spiritually and professionally.
A pesar de sentirme muy bien en ese espacio, con el tiempo fui sintiendo una progresiva disconformidad. Sentía que por ser un salón de belleza no me permitía desarrollar al máximo una visión artística y profesional. En ese momento de mi vida me sentía en una zona de confort que no me permitía avanzar.
In spite of feeling very well in that space, as time went by I felt a progressive dissatisfaction. I felt that being a beauty salon did not allow me to develop my artistic and professional vision to the fullest. At that moment in my life I felt I was in a comfort zone that did not allow me to move forward.
Entre muchas ideas, el sueño de abrir un estudio propio iba tomando forma en mi cabeza, pensando distintas opciones para hacer viable este proyecto, recordé el nombre que años atrás me gustó para él, soy de los que piensa que cuando una idea trasnochada tiene nombre el siguiente paso es ponerla en marcha.
Among many ideas, the dream of opening my own studio was taking shape in my head, thinking about different options to make this project viable, I remembered the name that years ago I liked for it, I am one of those who think that when an old idea has a name the next step is to put it into action.
Conseguí financiamiento, lo que quiere decir que para este momento tenía ganas, ideas y dinero, poco, pero lo suficiente para iniciar. Pero era evidente para mí que faltaba algo, solo se me iba a hacer muy complicado, pues me debía asociar con una persona que fuese de mi confianza y creyera en este proyecto, mismo que para entonces solo existía en mi mente. Un día decidí proponerlo a un amigo en el cual identificaba cualidades provechosas para llevar a cabo este gran sueño "Un estudio de tatuajes propio", el cual aceptó. Soy de los que creen que los socios se eligen como las parejas en el tenis, deben ser fuertes donde tú seas débil, y en él vi fortalezas que compensarían mis debilidades.

But it was clear to me that something was missing, only it was going to be very complicated, because I had to partner with a person I trusted and believed in this project, which by then only existed in my mind. One day I decided to propose it to a friend in whom I identified beneficial qualities to carry out this great dream "A tattoo studio of my own ", which he accepted. I am one of those who believe that partners are chosen like partners in tennis, they must be strong where you are weak, and in him I saw strengths that would compensate for my weaknesses.
El siguiente paso fue retirarme del salón de belleza, es fundamental cerrar una etapa para comenzar una nueva de la mejor manera. No fue fácil, es difícil de decir y más cuando uno no se quiere ir. Pese a todo, era una decisión que debía afrontar y seguir.
The next step was to retire from the beauty salon, it is essential to close a stage to start a new one in the best way. It was not easy, it is difficult to say and even more so when one does not want to leave. In spite of everything, it was a decision that I had to face and follow.
Mi socio y yo comenzamos el devenir de cosas que debíamos hacer para realizar este proyecto, y en el camino se sumó nuestro tercer socio, Dary, quien con su apoyo incondicional y entrega fue indispensable para lograrlo.
My partner and I began the process of things we had to do to make this project happen, and along the way our third partner, Dary, joined us, whose unconditional support and dedication was indispensable to make it happen.
Luego de dos meses lo que comenzó como una idea trasnochada, un sueño de niño, un nuevo comienzo, se materializó. Logramos abrir "Buena Vibra Art Tattoo", el estudio de tatuaje con más buena vibra del mundo.
After two months what started as a late night idea, a child's dream, a new beginning, materialized. We managed to open "Buena Vibra Art Tattoo ", the tattoo studio with the best vibe in the world.
Llegué a conocer de Hive a través de un amigo que me comentó de esta plataforma, luego de investigar es evidente lo mucho que nos podemos nutrir de los conocimientos compartidos acá. Es nuestro objetivo seguir creciendo, obtener nuevas conocimientos y vivir experiencias que nos enriquezcan como seres humanos. Hemos encontrado en Hive una comunidad en la cual no solo queremos compartir nuestras experiencias, sino también, interactuar y aprender todo lo que podamos para mejorar cada día.
I got to know about Hive through a friend who told me about this platform, after investigating it is evident how much we can nourish from the knowledge shared here. It is our goal to continue growing, gaining new knowledge and living experiences that enrich us as human beings.
