The smile is the best cure for all ills

Hi friends hivers , this is my entry for the contest created by @zord189 which is about explaining what makes you smile.

I've been 4 hours since I saw this contest thinking what makes me smile, what makes my gray days turn quickly into a sunny day, I honestly didn't know what it was until I started to remember some bad days that were marked in my mind and those that turned into good days simply because of these things.

These are very small things but they can quickly change my mood to something positive and free me from stress.

....

For me the 5 things that make me smile are:

  • The music, just put on my headphones and listen to my favorite songs to change my mood in a jiffy.
  • Playing video games, I am now very obsessed with a cell phone game called Mobile Legends and I really enjoy playing it, even though sometimes my internet connection doesn't help.
  • Watching my Asian series, they are short romantic comedies that just by watching one chapter I can laugh out loud and get so happy that nothing in the day will erase my smile.
  • Eating, I know it's something very basic but if it's my favorite food or candy, even my instant ramen makes me feel good, I'm addicted to eating although I try to control myself from eating everything that crosses my path since I also take care of my health and sugar level, but eating makes me smile and be happy.
  • This is something contradictory but taking pictures makes me smile and be happy but at the same time it is the source of my stress, since I am a perfectionist and I try to make everything come out just as it is in my head, sometimes it is complicated but I can make it.

    ....

There are many other things that make me smile like watching anime, going out with my friends, watching movies, and even choosing clothes, but since I only had to name one I put the ones that are most common that make my gray days turn into sunny days.

I want to thank the creator of this contest because he made me remember things that make me happy, and that I will always keep in mind to try to be happy always.

See you in another publication

xoxo Andy

For the most part Andy @littlegremlin, I smile pretty easily, but I also walk around with a dark cloud over my head more often than not.
I have depression, and PTSD, makes it hard for me to look for the "Silver Lining".
Now when I am ♫♪Playing Music♫♪ for an audience that likes to hear me play, I am ecstatic and smile the whole time

Wao the music can make us happy and help us to be well with ourselves, where do you play? I would like to hear you

I've been playing music, piano mainly, since beginning lessons at age 11, which was 54 yrs ago.
I never stopped, I never looked back. I worked other jobs, but music was always my thing, until Drugs and Alcohol stole everything from me.

Since moving to the Metro Atlanta Ga area in 2009, in 2010 I began playing for Senior Citizens in Nursing Home, Assisted Living and Retirement communities.
I was making fairly decent money too, until my hip gave out in 2017, got it replaced in 2018, and began to get back into the swing of things when the quarantine shut all those places down.
I've played ONCE since last February.
Here is a live recording from 2018

But there, I'm just standing, playing and singing.
Since I use a wireless mic, I can walk around singing when I'm not actually PLAYING my keyboards.
That is where I get the greatest enjoyment, like this one (it's hilarious)

I hope you enjoy these videos @littlegremlin (Andy)
