Everyone's life has changed, since March 2020 when we started the pandemic in Venezuela, and began the quarantine my family and I stayed home, with many nerves not knowing what would happen in this time.

My husband and I went out with caution to buy food, always taking the necessary measures, covering our mouths, washing our hands, anti-bacterial and taking distance, that we have always done, the first months were difficult and the fear was very great, although in Venezuela many people took it as a game, others were incredulous.

At that time a friend asked me if I knew anyone who had the disease or had passed it, I said no and she said she thought it was a lie, this was at first, after six months we began to notice that many people had sick relatives, others hospitalized and there many realized that this was not a game that was true.

I called my friend in the month of October to tell her to be careful, she told me that she was taking good care of herself, that her grandmother had died of Covid in less than a week she could not believe it and the worst thing is that the initial doctor who saw her said that it was Covid, then another one said that it was not Covid in the end they watched her and buried her, most of the assistants to the funeral were contaminated among them the mother of my friend, thank God she was cured and did not pass from there.

Some of my cousins and uncles, did not keep the quarantine lived visiting each other, one got contaminated and then more than 6 people of them were contaminated, and an aunt died, I did not attend either the hospital or the funeral for fear of contaminating myself and my family, sometimes I think this is a way to get away from the people we love for fear, but it is also a precaution because no one wants to be contaminated, of course I was always on the phone.

I think that we all think that this year has been hard, so many people have lost families, this is painful, in Venezuela the injections that are given when a person already has affected lungs are at a cost of 900$ to 1500$. A Venezuelan with a minimum wage earns 2.5$ per month that is almost not enough to eat, here most of the illnesses are treated with natural remedies because the medicines are expensive, there are those who have because some of their relatives are out of the country and they send them remittances, those of us who do not try to have several sources of income to have a little more.

This confinement has really caused us stress, although I am often distracted by it, the online classes for the kids have also been difficult, because it is the parents who are educating them in each subject and we are going back to study ourselves again.

No more trips to other places far from the city, and that's something I miss a lot, I have an immense desire to go out, I hope in God that soon the whole world will be well and the cure will be found soon.
